ما الفكرة الأساسية في ما جونغ؟
في معظم النسخ، يسحب اللاعبون القطع ويتخلصون منها في محاولة لبناء يد رابحة. لكن هذا الوصف لا يكفي لتحديد القواعد: عدد القطع، وما يُعدّ يدا فائزة، وكيفية التسجيل أو المطالبة بقطعة، كلها أمور تتغير باختلاف النسخة. لذلك لا تخلط بين تعليمات نسختين في جلسة واحدة.
قبل اللعب، اتفقوا على اسم النسخة ومرجع قواعدها، وتأكدوا أن المجموعة والملحقات تناسبها. الخيارات الواردة هنا تمثل مسارات مختلفة، وليست مراحل متتابعة في لعبة واحدة.
أي نسخة من ما جونغ تريد أن تتعلم؟

كيف تبدأ لعب American Mah Jongg؟
جهّز اللاعبين والمعدات
وفقاً لـقواعد American Mah Jongg Association، تلعب النسخة الأمريكية بأربعة أشخاص وبمجموعة من 152 قطعة، مع رفوف ونرد وبطاقة NMJL الحالية. وتعرض مادة Rules Companion شرحاً مساعداً للقواعد. البطاقة السنوية أساسية لأنها تسرد الأيدي القانونية لتلك السنة، ولا تحل محل دليل قواعد لنسخة أخرى.
توزيع القطع وتسلسل اللعب
يحصل كل لاعب على 13 قطعة، بينما يبدأ الموزع بـ14. يتضمن تسلسل اللعب بناء الجدران والتوزيع ومرحلة Charleston، ثم السحب والتخلص وإعلان الفوز. تعلّموا تفاصيل كل مرحلة من مرجع القواعد الأمريكي الذي تعتمدونه، ولا تستعيروا قواعد المطالبة بالقطع أو التسجيل من Riichi أو MCR.

يجب أن تتكون اليد الرابحة من 14 قطعة وأن تطابق سطراً كاملاً واحداً على بطاقة NMJL للسنة الحالية. استخدام الجوكر والتعريضات محكوم بقيود النسخة، لذا راجعوا القواعد المرافقة للبطاقة عند تطبيقهما. لا يكفي أن تبدو اليد مكتملة وفق شكل مألوف من نسخة أخرى.
ما المختلف في Riichi الياباني؟
بنية اليد وشرط الفوز
يلخص مرجع RiichiMahjong.com البنية المعتادة بأنها ثلاث فئات مرقمة من 1 إلى 9، إلى جانب قطع الشرف، ويشير إلى أن اللاعب لديه 13 قطعة قبل الإكمال. لكن اكتمال شكل اليد لا يضمن الفوز: لا بد من وجود yaku مؤهل وفق القواعد المتفق عليها.

توضح صفحة قواعد Riichi Competition Rules لدى EMA أن كتاب قواعد 2025 يسري اعتباراً من 1 يناير 2026؛ راجعوا الإصدار المعمول به في بطولتكم أو مجموعتكم، فقد تختلف تفاصيل المنافسات بمرور الوقت. وفي قواعد Riichi التابعة للرابطة، لا تُستخدم القطع الحمراء، وهي نقطة ينبغي التحقق منها عند اختيار المجموعة. يحدد كتاب Rules for Japanese Mahjong إصدار 2025 مجموعة من 136 قطعة.
ماذا يعني Chinese Official أو MCR؟
Mahjong Competition Rules، أو Chinese Official، نظام تنافسي محدد، وليس اسماً جامعاً لكل قواعد ما جونغ الصينية أو شرق الآسيوية. يقدم دليل Mahjong International League للقواعد الدولية الصينية مرجعاً لهذا النظام. قد تتقارب طريقة اللعب العامة بين بعض النسخ، لكن التسجيل يختلف؛ لذا لا تعتمد نقاطاً أو تفاصيل تسجيل قبل الرجوع إلى كتاب MCR الذي اختارته المجموعة.
