ただし、Fire TVが認識することと、ゲームやアプリが入力を受け付けることは別です。Bluetooth対応と書かれているだけで互換性が保証されるわけではなく、ゲームパッドとして動作するHIDプロファイル、接続モード、アプリ側の対応を確認する必要があります。
接続前に確認すること
- コントローラーの仕様に「Bluetooth HID」「Android対応」「XInput」「Fire TV対応」などの記載がある。
- 十分に充電し、スマートフォン、PC、ゲーム機など別の機器との接続を解除している。
- メーカーの説明書に従ってBluetoothペアリングモードにしている。
- 遊ぶゲームやクラウドゲームアプリがゲームパッド入力に対応している。
- Fire TVに登録済みのBluetooth機器が多い場合は、不要な機器を削除する。Fire TVプラットフォームは最大7台のBluetoothコントローラー接続をサポートしますが、同時プレイ人数はゲーム側の仕様で決まります（Amazon開発者向け資料）。

コントローラーをペアリングモードにする
ボタン操作は製品と世代によって異なるため、すべての機種に共通する手順はありません。ランプが点滅するまで専用ボタンを長押しするタイプが一般的です。

USBレシーバー専用製品
2.4GHzドングルだけで通信する製品は、Bluetooth機器一覧には表示されません。Fire TV StickでUSBレシーバーを使うには、モデルに対応するUSBホストやOTGアダプターが必要になる場合があるため、最初はBluetoothモデルを選ぶ方が確実です。

Fire TV側でペアリングする手順
- コントローラーの電源を入れ、ペアリングモードにする。
- Fire TVのホーム画面で設定を開く。
- コントローラーとBluetoothデバイスを選ぶ。
- ゲームコントローラーを選ぶ。
- 新しいゲームコントローラーを追加を選ぶ。
- 一覧に表示されたコントローラー名を選択する。
- 接続済みになったら、ホーム画面と対応ゲームで入力を確認する。
英語UIでは「Controllers & Bluetooth Devices」→「Game Controllers」→「Add New Game Controller」と表示されます。日本語UIでも機種によって「Bluetoothデバイス」などの表記になるため、同じ意味の項目を選んでください。手順はAmazon公式ヘルプに基づきます。
接続後に動作を確認する
- Fire TVのホーム画面で方向キー、決定、戻るが反応するか確認する。
- 遊びたいゲームやアプリを起動する。
- ゲーム内の操作設定にゲームパッドやボタン割り当てがあるか確認する。
- 別の対応ゲームでも試し、特定アプリだけの問題か切り分ける。
Amazonは、Bluetooth HIDゲームパッドの入力をAndroidのキーイベントやモーションイベントとして扱うと説明しています（ゲームコントローラー入力）。そのため、A／Bと○／×の表示、十字キーとアナログスティック、L2／R2、振動、ジャイロ、背面ボタンなどの扱いはアプリごとに異なります。接続済みなのに特定ゲームだけ反応しない場合、コントローラーではなくアプリ側の未対応やマッピング不一致が原因です（コントローラー動作のガイドライン）。

表示されない、登録できないときの対処
- ペアリングモードをいったん解除し、再度オンにする。
- コントローラーをFire TVの近くに置く。
- スマートフォン、PC、ゲーム機のBluetoothを一時的にオフにし、自動再接続を止める。
- 以前の登録がある場合は、設定→コントローラーとBluetoothデバイス→ゲームコントローラーから対象機器を選び、登録解除、ペアリング解除など同じ意味の項目を実行する。
- Fire TVとコントローラーの電源を入れ直す。必要ならコントローラーをメーカー手順でリセットする。
- 8BitDoやGameSirなどはAndroid／XInputなど別の接続モードを試す。
- USBレシーバー専用ではないか、Bluetooth対応モデルかを仕様表で確認する。

コントローラー選びの基準
最も無難な選択
Bluetooth接続、Bluetooth HID、AndroidまたはXInput対応が明記された標準ゲームパッドを優先します。「Android対応」だけではFire TVの全機種・全アプリでの動作保証ではありませんが、独自プロトコル製品より確認しやすい条件です。
Xbox Wireless Controllerを選ぶ場合
Xbox系の配置に慣れており、クラウドゲームやSteam Linkなど複数用途で使いたい人向けの候補です。公式ページでは米国サイトに一部標準モデルをおおむね64.99～69.99ドル、日本サイトに色によって7,128～9,900円などの表示がありますが、地域、色、在庫、販売時期で変動します。価格は米国公式または日本公式で確認してください。個別モデルがFire TVの全アプリで動作する保証ではありません。
8BitDo、GameSirなどの汎用品
小型、低価格、複数機器対応を重視する場合の候補です。モデルごとの差が大きいため、「Fire TV対応」「Android」「Bluetooth HID」「XInput」のいずれかが仕様に明記され、Fire TVで使うモードが説明されている製品を選びます。
