- WIDE SCREEN COMPATIBILITY — PHONE TO TABLET: X5 Lite is a versatile phone controller that stretches up to 213mm to fit iPhone 15/16, most Android phones, iPad mini 6/7, and compatible Android tablets. Secure Type-C connection keeps gameplay stable and responsive.
- MOBILE, CLOUD & REMOTE GAMING: Play supported mobile games like Zenless Zone Zero, or stream console and PC games through Xbox Game Pass, Steam Link, Moonlight, and remote play. Enjoy physical controls wherever you play.
- HALL EFFECT STICKS — PRECISE CONTROL: GameSir Hall Effect sensing sticks deliver smooth 360° control for accurate aiming, movement, and camera adjustments. Built for fast-paced mobile games and streamed console or PC titles.
- LIGHTWEIGHT & ERGONOMIC — 135.4G: At just 135.4g, X5 Lite stays lightweight during extended gaming. Ergonomic, laser-engraved textured grips provide a secure, comfortable hold at home or on the go.
- CUSHIONED MEMBRANE CONTROLS — COMFORTABLE & QUIETER: Cushioned membrane buttons and triggers provide comfortable feedback for repeated inputs while keeping operation quieter. Ideal for extended sessions or gaming in shared spaces.
Call of Duty: Mobile is the safest all-round recommendation. It combines 5v5 multiplayer, customizable loadouts, battle royale, Zombies, familiar Call of Duty maps, voice and text chat, and seasonal content. Activision officially lists Android, iPhone, and iPad support and describes the game as free to play.
Choose it if you want to switch between short team matches and larger battle-royale sessions without installing several different shooters. It is an arcade game rather than a military simulator, and its large content library can require significant storage as optional maps, textures, and updates accumulate.
Trade-offs: Competitive balance, matchmaking, monetization, and seasonal systems change over time. Touch controls are usable, but serious players may prefer a compatible controller. Confirm controller support for your device and mode rather than assuming every input works identically.
2. Delta Force — best tactical war game
Best for: Players who want large battles, vehicles, operators, and extraction gameplay.
Recommended Free Tools
Delta Force is the strongest choice for a more tactical alternative to Call of Duty: Mobile. Its current mobile offering combines large-scale Warfare combat with operator-based Operations extraction gameplay, vehicles, expansive maps, and Black Hawk Down-style content.
Extraction changes the stakes: looting, equipment decisions, survival, and escaping matter as much as eliminations. Losing a match can mean losing carried gear or progress, so it is less forgiving than a standard team shooter.
The U.S. App Store listing identifies an iPhone 7/A10 processor and 2 GB RAM as minimum-level specifications, while recommending an iPhone 11/A13 processor and 4 GB RAM. The game is demanding, and the final installed size may exceed the initial store download.
Monetization and availability: The iOS listing describes the game as free with in-app purchases and shows Delta Coin bundles from $0.99 to $99.99. It also discloses chat, realistic violence, and loot-box-related content. Regional versions differ: some markets show Level Infinite listings, while others use Garena branding. Download the listing available in your country.
Garena Delta Force is the relevant regional source where applicable.

3. PUBG MOBILE — best traditional battle royale
Best for: Players who want the battle-royale format itself, especially squad play.
PUBG MOBILE remains a strong specialist choice for solo, duo, and squad-oriented battle royale. Compared with Call of Duty: Mobile, its appeal is more focused on looting, positioning, recoil control, vehicles, survival, and the gradual closing of the play area.
That methodical pace is its strength and its drawback. New players must learn map knowledge, equipment priorities, movement, rotations, and gun handling. Branding and content can differ by market, including BGMI or Game for Peace variants, so use the local official listing.
It is free to download, but seasonal content, passes, cosmetic purchases, and other offers vary by region and can change.
4. Arena Breakout — best hardcore extraction shooter
Best for: Players who value the tension of getting out alive more than simply topping the kill count.
Arena Breakout focuses on tactical movement, equipment choices, inventory management, looting, survival, and extraction. It is a better fit than a conventional battle royale for players who want every fight to have consequences and every item to matter.
The same systems make it less accessible. Matches can be frustrating for solo players, and it is a poor choice if you want short, consequence-free rounds. Expect to learn weapon handling, medical supplies, armor, backpacks, routes, and the risks of carrying valuable gear.
It is an online-first mobile game for Android and iPhone. Check the current local store listing for exact device requirements, download size, and mode availability before installing.
5. War Thunder Mobile — best combined-arms vehicle warfare
Best for: Players whose idea of war gaming involves tanks, aircraft, and ships rather than infantry.
Rank #3

- Cushioned and Durable Membrane: The X5 Lite is equipped with cushioned and durable membrane triggers and buttons. The cushioned feedback provides a comfortable experience while ensuring quieter operation
War Thunder Mobile brings Gaijin’s vehicle-combat formula to mobile, covering armored vehicles, aircraft, and naval warfare. It provides a useful change of pace from infantry shooters and is the best choice here for readers who want several military vehicle classes in one game.
Vehicle combat is a fundamentally different experience from an FPS. Aiming, flight, ship handling, armor, positioning, and target identification all place different demands on touch controls. Progression and vehicle research may also feel grind-heavy, particularly if you want to unlock a broad range of vehicles.
The game is online-first and can be moderately to highly demanding depending on device, graphics settings, and vehicle class.
6. World of Tanks Blitz — best focused tank game
Best for: Players who specifically want fast, team-based tank battles.
World of Tanks Blitz delivers short 7v7 tank battles with platoons, clans, vehicle research, upgrades, and cross-platform support. Its focused design makes it easier to recommend than a combined-arms title when tanks are the only combat type you want.
It does not focus on infantry, aircraft, or naval warfare. The structure is also more arcade-oriented than a full tank simulator, and progression, matchmaking, and balance are live-service elements that can change.

7. Brawlhalla — best platform fighting game
Best for: Players who want a genuine fighting game instead of another military shooter.
Brawlhalla is a free-to-play platform fighter with Android and iOS versions and cross-platform play. Its combat is closer to a Super Smash Bros.-style platform fighter than to Mortal Kombat or a traditional one-on-one arcade fighter.

It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
It works well for casual sessions while offering a competitive multiplayer route for players who want to learn movement, spacing, recovery, attacks, and character matchups. Touch controls can become less comfortable at advanced levels, so check input compatibility before buying a controller.

8. Shadow Fight 4: Arena — best competitive martial-arts fighter
Best for: Players who want mobile-first martial-arts PvP duels.
Shadow Fight 4: Arena uses 3D fighters, weapons, martial-arts animations, online PvP, and friend challenges. It is a better fit than Brawlhalla for readers who want grounded duels with timing and character abilities rather than platform movement.
The game is more character- and progression-driven than a pure arcade fighter. Google Play lists ads and in-app purchases, while the App Store lists it as free with in-app purchases. The iOS listing requires iOS 15 or later and states that stable internet is needed for online PvP.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.9. Mortal Kombat Mobile — best for franchise spectacle
Best for: Fans who value recognizable characters, special moves, fatalities, and collection systems.
Mortal Kombat Mobile fills a different role from Shadow Fight 4. It brings the Mortal Kombat roster, cinematic violence, character collection, special attacks, and progression systems to mobile, rather than attempting to reproduce the full console fighting-game experience.
Expect collection mechanics, timers, energy systems, and in-app purchase offers to be important parts of progression. It should not be presented as a direct substitute for a traditional tournament fighter. Its age rating and graphic violence also make it unsuitable for younger players.

10. War Robots — best accessible mech-war game
Best for: Players who want team warfare with giant machines.
War Robots adds a science-fiction alternative to the list. It is a multiplayer PvP combat game built around customizable robots rather than soldiers, historical vehicles, or battle-royale squads.
The colorful mech setting makes it more approachable than a realistic military game, while team combat provides a clear multiplayer focus. It is not conventional modern or historical warfare, and live-service progression and monetization should be considered before spending.
Exact team sizes, modes, matchmaking systems, and device requirements can change. Check the current store page for your platform and region.

Before installing: device, data, and controller advice
Check more than the store download size
Large shooters often download additional maps, textures, voice packs, and seasonal content after installation. Leave extra storage free, install major updates over Wi-Fi, and expect the final footprint to be larger than the initial listing size.
Older phones may struggle
Delta Force, Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG MOBILE, and Arena Breakout are the most demanding choices in this list. A phone may technically support a game yet still suffer from heat, frame-rate drops, battery drain, or long loading times. Brawlhalla, Shadow Fight 4, and World of Tanks Blitz are safer starting points for less powerful hardware, but only Delta Force has specific minimum and recommended specifications captured here.
Controllers are not universally supported
A Backbone One, GameSir X4 Aileron, or Razer Kishi model can make shooters and fighting games more comfortable, but compatibility depends on the exact phone connector, case, operating system, game, and mode. Native controller support is different from third-party touch mapping. Avoid mapping tools that may conflict with anti-cheat rules or create account risk.

Remember that free-to-play has conditions
Free download does not mean no spending. Games may use ads, battle passes, cosmetic purchases, energy systems, progression boosts, premium currencies, or randomized rewards. Prices, taxes, bundles, and purchase offers vary by country and season.
What happened to Warzone Mobile?
Do not treat Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile as a current recommendation in a 2026 list. The available evidence indicates that it was removed from major mobile stores and stopped receiving normal updates before the target date. Because the supplied evidence is secondary rather than a retrieved official Activision announcement, verify the final server-status wording against Activision before publication. For a live Call of Duty mobile option, use Call of Duty: Mobile instead.
