The best Nex Playground games depend on who is playing and whether you want music, sports, party games, puzzles, or licensed characters. This catalog-based shortlist highlights ten options by use case—not a hands-on ranking—and notes which five games come with the console. Nex’s catalog changes, so check its current game catalog before choosing.
What comes with Nex Playground?
The console’s starter pack includes Fruit Ninja, Whack-a-Mole Deluxe, Party Fowl, Go Keeper, and Starri, according to Nex’s product page. Nex’s catalog says Play Pass unlocks 60+ games, with new games and updates during the year; the count and selection can change. The picks below distinguish included games from Play Pass titles where the catalog supports that distinction.
Nex recommends the system for ages five and up, while noting that children ages three and four may enjoy more titles with a grown-up or older sibling. It recommends about six by six feet of play space. The console connects to a TV or projector over HDMI and Wi-Fi; its built-in wide-angle camera tracks movement and supports up to four concurrent players. Nex says a privacy cover is included and that the device does not store movement data; those are manufacturer statements. See Nex’s product overview for device details.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose for your household
- Start with included games: Starri, Party Fowl, and Go Keeper offer music, party play, and a sports challenge without relying on a Play Pass title.
- Match the activity to the group: Try Bluey: Bust-a-Move for its one-to-three-player licensed-character mix, Bowling Strike for a familiar scoring game, or Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory for cooperation if it is still listed.
- Check the session style: TechRadar’s December 2025 review characterized many Nex Playground games as short-burst experiences. That may suit a quick family turn, but the console should not be mistaken for a library made entirely of long-form adventures.
- Confirm access before subscribing: Nex’s current catalog and Play Pass terms can change. Check the live listing for each game rather than assuming that every catalog title is included with the console.
What to know about Play Pass and price
In its review first published in December 2025, TechRadar listed the Nex Playground at $249 in the U.S. and Play Pass at $49 for three months or $89 for one year. Those are dated review figures, not verified current prices; check Nex’s shop for current pricing and subscription terms. TechRadar also reported that games beyond the starter pack require a pass rather than being sold individually.
