Start with the player’s job, then consider how often that job creates a chance to use the ability. For example, the cited tier list ties Intercept to CDMs and CBs, and Relentless to low-stamina players or box-to-box midfielders. FC IQ adds Player Roles and Team Tactics; EA says roles guide how players think and move off the ball. A role can therefore affect how often a player is in position to make use of a PlayStyle, but PlayStyles are only one part of performance alongside tactics and other gameplay systems.
