There is no objectively best-looking VALORANT crosshair: the right design depends on what you can see comfortably against the game’s changing scenes. These ten ideas are a set of visual directions, from a tiny plus to a playful symbol—not ranked presets or proven aim upgrades. Build each in the current client, then check it in the Practice Range before keeping it.
How to use these crosshair ideas
VALORANT lets you import and export crosshair settings through auto-generated codes. Riot documents the import and export controls in Patch 4.05. The concepts below are design recipes in words, not exact numeric presets; no codes are supplied because these directions have not been validated as complete codes in the current client.
In Patch 5.04, Riot documented custom color selection and independent tuning of horizontal and vertical lines. Use those controls, along with dot, outline, opacity, length, thickness, and gap settings, to shape the ideas. The available controls and resulting appearance can be explored in the community VALORANT Crosshair Generator; its labels are not official player attribution or endorsement.
10 creative VALORANT crosshair concepts
1. The tiny plus
Shape: A small, balanced cross made of short, thin inner lines with a modest center gap. Build it: Enable the inner lines, keep their lengths and thickness restrained, and leave enough gap to distinguish the four strokes. Consider: It keeps the design familiar and compact; check that fine lines remain visible against bright or busy backgrounds.

2. The pinprick
Shape: A small center dot with little or no surrounding linework. Build it: Enable the center dot and disable the inner and outer lines, or leave only the faintest short strokes if a dot alone feels too bare. Consider: The result is minimal, but a very small mark can be difficult to pick out in some scenes. Adjust its size and contrast for your own display rather than assuming smaller is better.
3. The open frame
Shape: Four short strokes that stop well before the center, creating a roomy opening. Build it: Use inner lines with a wider gap and moderate length; keep the center dot off for a clear frame. Consider: The open center makes the design visually airy, while the separated strokes may feel less unified than a tight plus.

4. The offset bars
Shape: An intentionally asymmetric cross, with horizontal bars longer or shorter than the vertical ones. Build it: Tune horizontal and vertical line dimensions independently, a control Riot documented in Patch 5.04. Consider: The imbalance gives the mark a distinctive silhouette. It is a visual choice, not evidence of an aiming advantage, and may take getting used to.
5. The outlined neon
Shape: A bright, custom-colored cross with a dark or contrasting outline. Build it: Select a custom color, enable the outline, and set its opacity and thickness so the edges remain defined. Consider: A strong graphic treatment can stand out in one scene and blend into another; inspect it against several backgrounds rather than relying on the color name alone.

- Ultra-long battery life gives you up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery

6. The split center
Shape: Four separated line groups surrounding an unusually large central opening, optionally paired with a small dot. Build it: Increase the gap between the inner lines and shorten them so the center stays open; try the dot on and off to compare. Consider: The generous opening is the main visual feature, but the separated marks can read as less cohesive at a glance.
7. The compact square
Shape: Short, thick strokes that create a blocky, pixel-like cross. Build it: Reduce line length, raise thickness, and keep a small but visible center gap. Consider: The heavier form is deliberately bold; it occupies more visual weight than the tiny plus, so check whether it feels cluttered in motion.

8. The long-range frame
Shape: Longer lines around a broad central opening. Build it: Extend the inner lines and widen the gap, keeping thickness modest so the longer strokes do not dominate the frame. Consider: This expansive design covers more screen area than a compact style. Decide whether the framing effect is worth that extra visual coverage on your setup.
9. The two-tone illusion
Shape: A single-color cross whose outline creates the impression of a contrasting rim. Build it: Choose a custom line color and enable an outline in a contrasting color or opacity. The effect comes from the outline; this concept does not rely on independently colored line groups. Consider: The apparent two-tone edge can add definition, but its contrast changes with the background and the chosen settings.

10. The playful symbol
Shape: A deliberately unusual mark assembled from enabled line groups, a dot, and an outline—for example, a short cross with a dot and one longer axis. Build it: Combine only a few elements at first, then adjust lengths, thickness, gap, and outline to create a legible silhouette. Consider: Novelty is the point, not precision or performance. If the finished shape is hard to recognize, simplify it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Import and inspect a crosshair code
If you use a code from a community preset page or another player, treat its preview as a starting point. Riot’s documented path is to open Settings → Crosshair and use the import icon beside Crosshair Profile. The code controls are described in Riot’s Patch 4.05 notes; community guidance also recommends checking the imported settings and appearance in game.
- Copy the complete crosshair code from its source.
- In VALORANT, open Settings → Crosshair and select the import icon beside Crosshair Profile.
- Paste the code and choose Import. Review the resulting preview and save the profile with a name you will recognize.
- Check Primary, ADS, and sniper settings if you use them; these can be separate settings from the primary crosshair.
- Inspect the crosshair in the Practice Range against different scenes. If it differs from the preview or is hard to see, review its line, dot, outline, and error settings.
These inspection steps are practical recommendations in the community import guide, not a Riot guarantee that every third-party code will look identical in every situation. Riot’s Patch 5.04 notes reported increasing the available profile count from 10 to 15 in 2022; that is a dated patch-note figure, not a verified statement of the current limit.
