Pro support is also distinct from compatibility. PlayStation’s PS4 Pro FAQ says all existing PS4 games are compatible and that Pro has no exclusive games. Compatibility alone does not mean a title received a dedicated enhancement. Developers may add support to a released game in an update, or build enhancements into a game from the outset.
How to judge whether a game deserves an upgrade

- Image quality: Would higher resolution or better image reconstruction make a meaningful difference, especially on a 4K display?
- Frame rate: Does the existing game have a frame-rate target or stability issue that a Pro patch could reasonably address?
- Visual detail: Could added effects, draw distance, texture detail, or other visual improvements enhance the experience without undermining performance?
- Player choice: Would separate performance and resolution settings let players choose the trade-off they prefer?
- Display features: Would HDR support matter to players with a compatible game implementation and HDR television?
- Evidence: Is the game actually missing dedicated Pro support, and are its current technical characteristics documented by reliable sources?

Do you need a 4K or HDR television?
No, not for every PS4 Pro benefit. PlayStation says the console can output supported games at up to 4K on compatible televisions, upscale lower-resolution games, and provide selected games with higher or more stable frame rates and visual improvements. A 4K television is needed to see 4K output as 4K; HDR benefits require a compatible game and HDR-compatible television. Why a ten-game wishlist needs more verification
PlayStation’s launch-era announcement said more than 40 titles were optimized for PS4 Pro at launch, including games with updates and games with enhancements in the base release. That was a count in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s November 3, 2016 launch announcement, not a current catalog total. The announcement’s examples, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Titanfall 2, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, should not be mistaken for unenhanced wishlist candidates.
Before a specific game is called deserving of a patch, its dedicated Pro support and existing resolution and frame-rate behavior should be verified, along with the concrete trade-off an update could improve. The official materials cited here explain the platform and document examples of existing enhancements; they do not supply those candidate-specific facts for ten games. A definitive ranking would therefore overstate what is established.
