If 2XKO crashes on your Steam Deck, there is no official, verified Steam Deck fix in the available Riot or Steam guidance. Riot’s support pages do not name Steam Deck or SteamOS as supported devices, but that omission is not proof the game is incompatible. The steps below are limited to what the sources actually address: controller input conflicts, a general Steam Deck compatibility diagnostic, and a reinstall suggestion for one specific login black-screen problem.
Does 2XKO work on Steam Deck?
Riot’s supported devices and peripheral troubleshooting guide does not list Steam Deck or SteamOS. That does not establish that the game cannot run on Deck; it means Riot’s cited device guidance does not confirm Steam Deck support. Steam’s Steam Deck software and troubleshooting guide explains general compatibility-tool controls, but does not confirm 2XKO compatibility or a fix for its crashes.
So there are not seven verified Steam Deck crash fixes to list. Treat the options below as symptom-specific troubleshooting, not guaranteed remedies.
What to try, based on the symptom
If controls double-input or misfire: check Steam Input
Riot documents Steam Input conflicts as a possible cause of controller problems in 2XKO. Its instructions are for a PC Steam client and address control behavior—not crashes on Steam Deck.

- In Steam, disable the Steam Input options for 2XKO.
- Close and reopen 2XKO.
- Fully exit Steam, then close any leftover Steam processes.
- Make sure Steam is up to date before relaunching the game.
These are Riot’s controller troubleshooting steps. If the problem is a crash rather than misfiring controls, this guidance does not establish that changing Steam Input will help.
If you want to test a Deck compatibility setting: use Steam’s general guidance
Steam describes forcing a compatibility tool through the game’s Library entry: open 2XKO’s Properties, select Compatibility, and choose a compatibility tool. This is a general Steam Deck diagnostic described in Steam’s troubleshooting guide, not a 2XKO-specific recommendation. The cited source does not identify a particular tool that fixes 2XKO, so treat any change as a reversible test rather than a known solution.

If the crash is a login black screen: consider Riot’s reinstall suggestion
Riot’s known-errors search excerpt recommends a clean uninstall and reinstall for a specific crash involving a black screen at login. The excerpt does not identify this as a Steam Deck issue, and the page was not available to open directly. Do not assume the suggestion applies to other crash symptoms. When the crash persists
If none of these symptom-matched checks applies or the Deck keeps crashing, gather the relevant error details and logs, then contact Riot through its 2XKO support hub. A Deck-specific crash report is more useful than trying unrelated hardware purchases or settings that neither Riot nor Steam has validated for this game.

How Riot’s support timeline affects expectations
In its August 20, 2026 Evergreen Transition FAQ, Riot said patch support was planned through Patch 1.3.5 in December 2026, followed by maintenance with no future patches planned at that time. Riot also said servers would remain online and the game playable across platforms. That broad statement does not confirm Steam Deck support or promise a Deck crash fix.
