No confirmed FIFA 2K25 release has been established. The claim that 2K would launch the game “later this year” referred to 2024, and it began as an unverified retailer post. FIFA’s later announcements named Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive for its simulation-game plans—not 2K.
Where did the FIFA 2K25 rumor come from?
On May 24, 2024, retailer MohPlay posted that 2K had secured FIFA rights and that a game called FIFA 2K25 would launch that year. TechSpot reported the claim on May 28, noting that neither FIFA nor 2K had announced a partnership or game at the time. TechSpot’s report treated it as an unconfirmed rumor.
On June 5, 2024, The Standard reported that MohPlay had clarified its information was based on industry speculation and was not verified. The Standard’s coverage documents that clarification.
When was FIFA 2K25 supposed to come out?
The claim pointed to a release sometime in 2024. That window has passed. The available announcements do not establish that FIFA 2K25 was released, remains in development, or has a new release date.

Is 2K making a FIFA game?
FIFA’s later announcements name different partners for its simulation-game plans. On December 17, 2025, FIFA said Delphi Interactive would develop and publish a reimagined FIFA simulation game, which was planned to arrive on Netflix Games in summer 2026. FIFA’s announcement does not identify 2K as a partner.
On May 28, 2026, FIFA again named Netflix and Delphi Interactive as partners for a simulation experience in its broader digital football strategy. That announcement describes multiple formats and partners; it does not confirm the old FIFA 2K25 rumor. FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström said the strategy would offer fans “more choice” and create opportunities for member associations and commercial partners. FIFA’s digital-strategy announcement sets out the partnership structure.

FIFA said it would be included for Netflix Games members at no additional cost. This is a separately named Netflix Games release—not FIFA 2K25 and not evidence that 2K made a FIFA game.
