33 Immortals is no longer in Early Access: Thunder Lotus released version 1.0 on June 10, 2026. The finished game keeps its central hook—a cooperative action roguelike built around raids for up to 33 players—and adds the third world and final boss encounter among other additions. That makes the old Early Access framing outdated; whether the large-scale raids deliver satisfying combat and replay value is a separate question that the available official details alone cannot settle.
What kind of game is 33 Immortals?
33 Immortals is a co-op action roguelike in which damned souls rebel against God’s final judgment. Players fight monsters and bosses, grow stronger over repeated runs, and use raid resources to unlock permanent upgrades, weapons, relics, and powers. Thunder Lotus describes cooperative abilities, revives, emotes, and pings as part of the group toolkit. Its hand-drawn art and animation draw inspiration from Dante’s Divine Comedy; that is an influence, not a claim that the game faithfully adapts the poem. Thunder Lotus’s game page presents the design as fast, replayable raids, but does not give a measured session length.
The defining difference from conventional small-party co-op is scale: runs are designed for up to 33 players. The developer says matchmaking can place players into a run without a lobby or advance planning, and that someone entering solo can join a larger shared run or play with up to four friends. Those are descriptions of the intended system, not independent evidence about matchmaking speed, raid readability, or how well communication works without voice chat.
What changed when Early Access ended?
33 Immortals entered Early Access in March 2025. At that launch, Thunder Lotus described a build with Inferno and Purgatorio, four weapons, dozens of monsters, and two major bosses. Those details are a snapshot of the Early Access launch, not a current inventory of the finished game. The studio said the period would let it develop the game with feedback from a live community. Thunder Lotus announced on June 5, 2026 that Early Access would end and version 1.0 would arrive on June 10 for Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games Store. The studio said the full release would include all three playable worlds and the final boss encounter, plus new challenges, enemies, mechanics, balancing, gameplay polish, quality-of-life changes, and expanded customization. The announcement describes the scope of the release, not an independent judgment of the quality of those additions. Read the version 1.0 announcement.
That distinction matters for a review: the old Early Access question—how much of the promised game is present?—has an official answer in the 1.0 release. Questions about whether the combat stays clear in a crowd, whether builds make runs feel meaningfully different, and how well the game holds a player base over time require gameplay evidence not established by the release announcement.

Platforms, cross-play, and save transfers
Thunder Lotus lists 33 Immortals for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Game Pass. The developer’s FAQ says players on any version can play together. In practical terms, cross-platform play is supported, according to the studio. Check the official FAQ for its platform and cross-play details.
Progress and cross-play are different questions. The official FAQ says an Early Access save should carry into the full version if you continue on the same platform or console. It also says save data cannot be transferred from one storefront or platform account to another, even if the accounts use the same email address. If you plan to switch from, for example, one PC storefront to another, do not assume cross-play means your existing save will follow.

What does the current player feedback say?
Steam’s page showed “Mostly Positive,” with 75% of 1,683 user reviews positive, when accessed on October 4, 2026. That is a dated Steam user-review snapshot, not a stable score, a representative measure of every platform, or a substitute for examining the reviews themselves. The official sources establish the game’s premise, announced 1.0 scope, platform availability, and cross-play and save rules. They do not establish how well the game performs on different hardware, whether its balance is successful, how smooth matchmaking feels in practice, or whether its long-term progression sustains replay. Those are central questions for anyone deciding whether a 33-player roguelike is a good fit, and they should not be mistaken for settled findings based on feature descriptions alone.

Languages
Thunder Lotus’s FAQ lists English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Steam lists 12 supported languages, with interface, full-audio, and subtitle availability varying by language. Check the store page’s language matrix for the exact support offered in your preferred language.
