How to interpret the ranking
This is a pre-release report, not a current roster snapshot. NBA 2K25 launched in September 2024, and NBA.com later announced the game’s top 100 player ratings on August 27, 2024. Neither fact establishes that the July team order remained unchanged after launch or subsequent roster updates. The ranking should also be read as a report about the game’s ratings—not as a claim about which NBA teams are strongest in real life.

Why team choice matters in Play Now Online
In its August 20, 2024 pre-release overview, PlayStation said Play Now Online players could use a team only once every five games, or until they advanced to the next league.
