What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Gaming4Free is the best apparent permanent-free starting point for a small FiveM test server. Host2Play is another advertised free option, while SkailarHost, RocketNode and Sparked Host offer short trials rather than free hosting forever. Shockbyte’s free month is a conditional promotion for eligible Cfx.re Element Club subscribers.
That distinction matters: these are not six equivalent free hosts. Permanent-free services generally have fewer published specifications and less predictable capacity, while trials and promotions expire. For a serious public roleplay community, inexpensive paid hosting is usually the safer long-term choice.

What “free FiveM hosting” actually means
Free access falls into four different categories:
- Permanent free: the provider advertises ongoing hosting without a scheduled payment, usually with stricter resource, uptime or inactivity limits.
- Free trial: the server works for a short period and then expires or is suspended.
- Promotional free month: free access depends on an eligibility condition, another subscription or a limited campaign.
- Free credit: a provider grants a time or spending allowance rather than unlimited hosting.
Do not rank a 12-hour trial beside a permanent-free plan as though they provide the same value. A trial is useful for testing latency, installation and the control panel; it is not a free home for a persistent community.

The six providers
1. Gaming4Free — best apparent permanent-free starting point
Gaming4Free advertises free FiveM hosting without a credit card. Its published service information describes a web control panel with start, stop and restart controls, a file manager, resource and script uploads, console access and automatic deployment. Those FiveM features were also described in a provider announcement.
Best for: beginners, development servers, small friend groups and testing resources before paying.
Important limitation: the public material does not provide a complete FiveM specification sheet. Confirm RAM, CPU allocation, player capacity, storage, backups, DDoS protection, inactivity rules, artifact support and FTP or SFTP access before relying on it.
Resource-heavy roleplay frameworks, databases, streamed maps, custom vehicles and clothing may exceed the available allocation. Treat the listed features as provider claims, not independent performance results.
Verdict: the strongest starting point if “free forever” is your priority, provided your expectations remain modest and you keep local backups.
2. Host2Play — an alternative advertised free host
Host2Play advertises free FiveM hosting with mod and plugin support. Its general free-server offer advertises up to 3 GB of RAM and three cores per server, along with panel controls, logs and configuration management.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Best for: small private servers and experimentation.
The provider’s marketing uses broad language about limitations, but that should not be treated as a guarantee. Before choosing it, confirm the player cap, sleep or inactivity rules, uptime expectations, data retention, backups, location selection, DDoS protection, support, artifact changes and database availability.
Verdict: a potentially useful free alternative, but with less publicly documented detail than a conventional paid host. Do not upload an irreplaceable community without testing export and backup options first.
3. SkailarHost — best 12-hour technical trial
SkailarHost advertises a free 12-hour FiveM trial with no credit card. It states that there is one trial per account, the server is suspended after 12 hours and data can be exported for 24 hours. The provider also lists locations including Amsterdam, Dallas, New York, Limburg and Singapore, although availability can change.
Recommended Free Tools
Best for: checking whether your server starts correctly, testing the panel and measuring approximate latency from your players’ region.
Rank #2
- 8-Core 16-Thread Processing Power – Powered by the Ryzen 7 4700LE processor with Zen 2 architecture, delivering 8 cores and 16 threads with a boost clock up to 4.2GHz. Effortlessly handle multitasking, streaming, content creation, and demanding applications simultaneously without slowdowns.
- GeForce RTX 3050 8GB Graphics – Equipped with 8GB GDDR6 dedicated VRAM and real-time ray tracing support. Experience smooth 1080p gaming at 55-60 FPS in AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077, 70+ FPS in Fortnite, and 90-100 FPS in Apex Legends with DLSS enabled. The 8GB buffer handles modern game textures comfortably – a step above 6GB variants
- High-Speed Memory & Storage – Paired with 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz dual-channel RAM (16GB), the PC ensures responsive multitasking—whether streaming while gaming or editing videos. It also includes a 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD for lightning-fast boot times, quick game loads, and ample storage for your game library, creative projects, and files.
- Next-Gen WiFi 6 Connectivity – Stay connected with the latest WiFi 6 technology for faster speeds, lower latency, and improved network efficiency. Whether you're gaming online, streaming 4K content, or joining video conferences, enjoy stable, high-speed wireless connectivity.
- Ready-to-Use Value Desktop – Pre-built and ready to go right out of the box. Perfect for gamers, students, content creators, and home office users seeking reliable performance without the hassle of building a PC themselves. The mature AM4 platform with DDR4 memory offers excellent value and proven stability.
Twelve hours cannot establish long-term uptime, backup reliability or support quality. A trial may also use different resources or policies from a paid plan.
Verdict: good for a quick technical test; not a permanent free server.
4. RocketNode — best full-day trial
RocketNode lists a free 24-hour FiveM trial with 2 vCores, 2 GB DDR4 RAM and 75 GB SSD storage. The plan advertises unlimited slots, but that label does not override FiveM’s own capacity rules or prove that unlimited concurrent players are technically supportable.
Best for: testing a basic configuration, resource installation and panel workflow over a complete day.
Two gigabytes of RAM may be reasonable for a basic development server, but can be inadequate for a heavily scripted ESX or QBCore server, large asset packs, voice integrations or a public roleplay community.
Use the trial to install your intended framework, connect several test players, monitor memory and CPU use, restart the server, test database connectivity and download your files before the trial expires.
Verdict: one of the most useful short trials, but not free hosting in perpetuity.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →5. Sparked Host — best paid-host trial
Sparked Host advertises a one-day FiveM trial and publishes a clearer paid upgrade path than most free-only services. Its listed plans range from 2 GB RAM, 2 vCPU and 50 GB storage at $4.78/month to 16 GB RAM, 4 vCPU and 250 GB storage at $38.24/month. The page also advertises txAdmin, databases, automatic backups, DDoS protection and multiple locations.
Best for: readers who can pay after testing and want to evaluate a conventional managed host first.
The entry plan may still be too small for a serious roleplay server. Check taxes, billing periods, renewal pricing, actual allocation and trial infrastructure at checkout. A one-day trial is not proof of long-term uptime.
Verdict: the best “try before you buy” choice here, not a free long-term option.

6. Shockbyte — best conditional promotion
Shockbyte’s promotion offers eligible Cfx.re Element Club subscribers one free month of FiveM hosting. The terms say redemption must use the official link, the offer is limited to one per customer, Brazil and Japan are excluded, and the service renews at the then-current standard rate unless cancelled before the free month ends. The cited terms were updated July 17, 2026.
Best for: people who already pay for an eligible Element Club subscription.
This is not free hosting for the average beginner: the qualifying Element Club subscription is a separate cost. Set a cancellation reminder before the free month ends if you do not want normal renewal charges.
Verdict: worthwhile for eligible subscribers, misleading as a general “free server” recommendation.
One alternative worth checking: GratisVPS
GratisVPS advertises a 120-day free FiveM plan with no credit card and 6 GB of RAM. That could make it more useful for a longer development period than a one-day trial, but verify the terms before selecting it: confirm whether the offer is one-time, when the server terminates, the CPU and storage allocation, player limits, locations, export process, support and any post-trial pricing.
If those terms are clearer when you sign up, GratisVPS may be a more useful inclusion than one of the less-documented permanent-free claims.
What a FiveM server requires
Hosting is only one part of the setup. You need a Cfx.re account and a free server license key generated through the Cfx.re Portal. You may also need server resources, a database for many frameworks, suitable CPU and RAM, and a location close to your players.
txAdmin is bundled with FXServer. It provides deployment, start and stop controls, console access, configuration editing, player management, permissions and monitoring. A host advertising txAdmin is offering a useful management interface, but txAdmin itself is not an exclusive premium feature.
For current Cfx.re rules, the default player capacity is 48 players. Higher capacities require an Element Club subscription: Cfx.re lists Argentum at $15/month plus VAT for up to 64 slots, Aurum at $25/month plus VAT for up to 64 slots or 128 with OneSync Infinity, and Platinum at $50/month plus VAT for up to 128 slots or 2,048 with OneSync Infinity. Check the official hosting page for current rules and pricing.
Consequently, “unlimited slots” in a host’s plan description does not mean unlimited legal or technically supported FiveM concurrency.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to start a hosted FiveM server
- Create or sign in to your Cfx.re account.
- Generate a server license key in the Cfx.re Portal.
- Create an account with your chosen host and select FiveM.
- Choose the location closest to most players.
- Deploy a basic server or txAdmin recipe.
- Add the license key to the server configuration as instructed by the host.
- Start the server and connect using the displayed endpoint.
- Change the default server name and configuration.
- Install one resource at a time, restarting and checking the console after each change.
- Back up the configuration, resources and database before installing a framework or large asset pack.
Managed panels may perform these steps automatically. For self-hosting, Cfx.re’s txAdmin documentation says that launching FXServer without a +exec server.cfg argument starts the first-time txAdmin setup. Typical examples are FXServer.exe on Windows and screen ./run.sh on Linux, but a hosting panel may use a different process.

What to test before committing
- Startup time and console responsiveness.
- Player connections from the actual regions your community uses.
- Resource installation, restart and error reporting.
- CPU and memory usage with your intended framework.
- Database connection and persistence after a restart.
- File upload speed and access to configuration files.
- Backups, SQL dumps and complete server export.
- Support response to a real technical question.
- Whether the trial uses the same node, locations and resource allocation as the paid plan.
Keep local copies of your scripts, server.cfg, database dumps, custom assets, permissions and branding. A free provider can change terms, suspend an account or disappear, and portability is your protection.
When free hosting stops being sensible
Move to paid hosting or self-hosting when you need a public server, predictable uptime, automatic backups, a persistent RP economy, a large custom asset library, several voice or database services, reliable staff access or a community that expects the server to remain online.
Free hosting is most appropriate for learning, development, a small private group or a short proof of concept. It is rarely the right foundation for a monetized or established public roleplay server.
Official status and paid alternatives
Cfx.re’s current official partner page lists GPORTAL, Nitrado, Shockbyte, Nodecraft, xREALM and ZAP-Hosting. Partner listing does not guarantee service quality, and several providers in this comparison are not listed there. Check the current page rather than assuming every free host has the same platform status.
For a low-cost upgrade, Sparked Host lists plans from $4.78/month, subject to billing terms, taxes and renewal conditions. ZAP-Hosting advertises FiveM hosting from a listed $9.16/month and a lifetime option from $80.62, though pricing varies by configuration and location. These are paid alternatives, not substitutes for genuinely free access.
Final recommendations
- Best permanent-free experiment: Gaming4Free, subject to its current resource and inactivity limits.
- Best alternative free claim: Host2Play, after confirming its exact terms.
- Best quick test: SkailarHost for a short deployment check or RocketNode for a full day.
- Best paid-host trial: Sparked Host.
- Best conditional promotion: Shockbyte for eligible Element Club subscribers.
- Best serious long-term route: a paid host or self-managed server with backups and enough CPU capacity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is FiveM server hosting really free?
Some providers advertise permanent-free hosting, but many “free” offers are only 12-hour, 24-hour or one-day trials. Read the duration, inactivity, resource and renewal terms carefully.
Do I need Element Club to run a FiveM server?
No for the default 48-player capacity. Higher capacities require the applicable Cfx.re Element Club subscription; hosting payment alone does not unlock those limits.
Can I install ESX or QBCore on free hosting?
Possibly, if the host permits custom resources and provides enough CPU, RAM and database access. A basic 2 GB plan may struggle with a large framework and asset collection.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Will a free server stay online 24/7?
Not necessarily. Free hosts may suspend inactive servers, impose usage limits or terminate access when a trial ends.
Can I move my server to another host?
Only if you can export your resources, configuration, database and assets. Test the download or backup process before investing time in the server.
