Rockstar has not confirmed a GTA 6 online mode. Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement describes Grand Theft Auto VI as a “single-player experience” scheduled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. With fans already asking “Will GTA6 Online have…?”, these six ideas are proposals—not confirmed features, a ranked list, or a measure of what most players want.
If Rockstar develops an online mode, players could reasonably ask for fairer progression, better ways to find the right group, and activities that suit more than one style of play. The requests below are organized around fairness and safety, co-op access, creativity, activity variety, and communication; those are editorial categories, not survey results.

1. Give players reliable ways to avoid disruptive lobbies
Ask for clear reporting and moderation, plus meaningful options for choosing a session style. Players who want a relaxed social activity should not have to accept the same kind of lobby as those seeking open competition.
This is a request, not a claim that Rockstar’s current systems are failing or that a future mode will use a particular design. Rockstar already provides a process for reporting behavior and content violations in GTA Online, but that does not establish what moderation or session choices a future game might offer. 2. Make progression and payouts legible and fair
Players should be able to understand what an activity pays, how long it takes, and whether different play styles offer worthwhile routes forward. A healthy economy would give players reasons to try several activities rather than making one repetitive task feel mandatory, while keeping paid shortcuts from making ordinary progression feel pointless.
Rockstar has adjusted the existing GTA Online experience in response to player feedback before: in a 2022 community update, it said it would raise some GTA$ payouts and add requested experience improvements. That history is precedent for changes to GTA Online, not a promise about GTA VI or proof of a specific economy problem. (Rockstar’s 2022 community update.)

- Experience the world of Grand Theft Auto V like never before with the power of the PlayStation 4.
- Explore the City of Los Santos, the countryside and even the ocean.
- Play through an epic single player experience using three very different characters.
- Join your friends in GTA Online and see what trouble you can cause.
- Play golf, tennis, see a film or call someone and just hang out.
3. Build cooperative heists that work for different group sizes
Ask for heists with flexible player counts, understandable matchmaking, and roles that give each participant something meaningful to do. A group of friends should be able to plan together, while a player without a full crew should still have a fair way to join a mission without guesswork or a long wait.
These are design goals, not confirmed features. PC Gamer’s July 26, 2026 opinion piece floated larger heists and bigger servers as possible directions for a future mode; those are one writer’s suggestions, not an announcement or a community-wide consensus. - This game will no longer support Windows 7 or 8 operating systems starting January 30, 2024.
4. Support roleplay and creator-made activities with clear rules
If Rockstar supports user-made content, ask for creation tools that are practical to use, discovery that helps players find worthwhile activities, and clear standards for moderation and creators. Roleplay and custom activities can give an online world longevity, but only if players can find them and understand the rules that govern them.
Neither a creator economy nor a marketplace, roleplay integration, or user-generated content tools are confirmed. PC Gamer has discussed creator tools, content discovery, and roleplay as possibilities, while emphasizing how much remains unknown. Treat those ideas as proposals rather than plans from Rockstar.

5. Offer activities beyond combat and grinding
Ask for a mix of social, competitive, and low-pressure activities that work for solo players as well as groups. Side activities can make the world feel worth inhabiting between major missions, and a range of options gives players with different moods and schedules more ways to take part.
Individual comments in a community wishlist thread mention interests such as animal interactions and fishing. Those examples show the kinds of things some fans would like to see; they do not establish a ranked or widely shared demand. (A community wishlist thread asking what GTA6 Online might have.)

6. Keep the feedback loop visible
Ask Rockstar to make it clear where players can send useful feedback and, when possible, to explain what kinds of feedback can influence updates. A visible route helps players report bugs and describe which mechanics or mission types they enjoy without suggesting that every request will become a feature.
Rockstar’s support article, last updated November 6, 2024, directs GTA Online players to a dedicated feedback page and invites comments about preferred mechanics, favorite mission types, bugs, and errors. That route is for the existing GTA Online title; it is not evidence of a formal feedback portal for an unannounced GTA VI online mode. (Rockstar Support’s feedback guidance.)
What Rockstar has confirmed about GTA VI
Take-Two’s announcement dated June 24, 2026 schedules Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and describes the game as a “single-player experience.” It does not confirm an online mode, its release date, platforms, pricing model, cross-play, or features. The announcement also says the physical version, available beginning November 12, 2026, will contain a download code inside the box—not a disc. (Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement.)
For feedback about GTA Online as it exists today, players can use the route in Rockstar’s feedback guidance. That is a channel for the current title, not a promise that Rockstar is collecting requests for a future GTA VI mode there.
