There are seven supported choices—not nine—under £1 million in the available FC 25 Career Mode list. The ranking below uses potential first, then current overall rating, positional flexibility and listed value as tie-breakers; it is an editorial comparison, not a gameplay-tested verdict. Each figure is an in-game value, not a guaranteed transfer fee.
Seven FC 25 players listed below £1m
Sports Illustrated’s guide, “Cheap Players to Buy on EA FC 25 Career Mode,” by Barnaby Lane, lists these seven players below the strict £1 million cutoff and excludes free agents. OVR is the player’s current overall rating; POT is projected in-game potential. The values, ratings, ages and positions below are those reported in that guide. Source: Sports Illustrated.

How the ranking works
The order prioritizes reported potential, then uses current overall, listed position coverage and value to separate players with similar potential. It does not claim that a player will outperform another in every save: squad role, development, tactics and database updates can change who is the better fit for a particular club.
Which player fits your squad?
For the highest reported ceiling: Harry Amass
Amass leads the list with 85 potential, the highest figure among the seven. His reported 60 OVR and left-back position make him a longer-term option for a club that can develop a young full-back rather than an immediate high-rated starter.

For midfield options: Trey Nyoni or Chris Rigg
Both are listed at 61 OVR and 84 potential. Nyoni is listed at CM and CAM; Rigg adds RM, giving him an extra listed role if you want more positional cover. Their values are both £832,000.
For a lower listed value: Joshua King or Keny Arroyo
King is listed at £583,000, with 59 OVR and 83 potential, and plays CM. Arroyo has the lowest listed value in this group at £541,000; he is 58 OVR with 82 potential and is listed at LM, CAM and RB. Choose based on whether you need a central midfielder or a player with more role options.
Rank #2
For defensive midfield coverage: Myles Lewis-Skelly
Lewis-Skelly is listed at CM and CDM, with 59 OVR, 82 potential and a £583,000 value. That makes him a relevant option if your roster needs a young player who can cover either central midfield role.
For a goalkeeper: Fran González
González is the only goalkeeper in the seven-player list. His reported 62 OVR is the highest current rating here, alongside 82 potential and a listed value of £832,000. He is the goalkeeper option; the other six are outfield players.

What “worth less than £1m” means in Career Mode
The values are FC 25 in-game player values, not real-world valuations or fixed asking prices. Esports.gg cautions that a successful transfer may require an offer above the displayed value. Its figures also differ from Sports Illustrated’s for some shared players, so the two guides should not be blended into one ranking or table. Esports.gg’s FC 25 Career Mode guide.
Ratings and values can vary with the database snapshot or update used in a save. EA’s official ratings page concerns launch Ultimate Team Gold, Silver and Bronze items, and says that table does not cover other item types or live-form updates in other modes; it is not a source for Career Mode transfer values. Why the title says seven, not nine
The source table includes three more names at exactly £1 million. They do not qualify as “less than £1m,” so they are excluded rather than rounded into the list. The available evidence therefore supports seven strict-under-£1m selections, not nine. A current live-data page is not enough to fill the gap responsibly without a verified, frozen FC 25 dataset; FUTWIZ’s FC 25 Career Mode wonderkids page displays live player data.
