For a small vanilla group that needs console crossplay, 7D2D.net is the clearest fit among the offers with usable plan details here. RespawnHost is another option to compare if you want a managed server and a choice between fixed-term and pay-per-use billing. Neither is a universal winner, and the available provider information does not support ranking nine services responsibly. Start by deciding whether you need a dedicated world, then compare hosting against your platform mix, mods, resource needs, and preferred billing.
Dedicated server or ordinary co-op?
A dedicated server runs the world separately from any player’s game client, so it can stay online when the person who started it logs off. Ordinary peer-to-peer co-op runs through a player’s client and does not provide the same independent, always-on world. The 7D2D Wiki’s dedicated-server guide explains the distinction and the practical work involved in hosting.

Renting a server trades recurring fees for managed provisioning and less responsibility for the machine, ports, updates, and uptime. Self-hosting may make sense if you already have a suitable spare PC and are comfortable administering it, but the host takes on those jobs. A dedicated server still needs appropriate hardware and configuration; renting does not remove the need to choose compatible game versions, settings, and mods.
Choose by group and play style
- Small vanilla group spanning PC and consoles: Consider 7D2D.net’s provider-published crossplay guidance, but confirm the current game version, settings, and plan before ordering.
- Modded PC group: Compare mod compatibility, memory allocation, file access, and backups. 7D2D.net says modded PC servers do not support console play.
- Occasional group: RespawnHost describes pay-per-use billing while a server is running, which may suit a world that does not need to stay online continuously. Check how its billing and server availability work at checkout.
- Always-on community: Compare fixed-term billing, backup controls, resource limits, and administration tools rather than selecting on the starting price alone.
- Technically confident host with spare hardware: Self-hosting avoids a hosting subscription but means handling setup, ports, updates, and ongoing uptime yourself.
Provider options with usable published details
The figures and capabilities below are provider-published claims, not independent performance tests. They were checked in 2026 and can change; verify the live plan and terms before paying.
#1 Best Overall
- Premium PU Leather Dice Bag Included Each Haxtec metal dice set comes with a high-quality, durable PU leather dice bag with quick open and close drawstring design for easy dice storage and carrying

- Why Some Dice Are Slightly Smaller (Smart Weight Management) D4, D6, D8 are intentionally sized at 14-16mm – this keeps the total dice set weight comfortable (105g, 3.7oz) while still being fully readable; full-size metal dice would be 150-180g (5.3-6.3oz), which many players find too heavy for long sessions
- Classic Antique Bronze Vibe & Perfect DND Gift Electroplated and deliberately worn for an ancient, battle-worn bronze tone that never goes out of style – an ideal D&D gift for players, dice goblins, and TTRPG collectors, perfect for rogue, warlock, or barbarian characters
| Provider | Published price and billing | Resources and capacity | Regions | Mods, crossplay, and administration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7D2D.net | Starting at $5.99 per month for an 8-slot plan; provider says no contract or minimum term. Price checked in 2026. | Eight slots on the listed starting plan. The opened service details do not establish a broader RAM range or world-size limit for every plan. | Provider lists North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia. | Provider lists a custom control panel, FTP, Telnet, DDoS protection, configuration access, scheduled backups, and one-click modpacks. Its crossplay guidance is for vanilla dedicated servers with EAC enabled, up to eight players and a world no larger than 8K; it says modded PC servers do not support console play. |
| RespawnHost | Guide displayed a regular starting price of €7.00 per month after a first-term promotion, checked in 2026. Describes prepaid fixed-term billing for always-on use and pay-per-use billing while the server runs. | Provider lists packages from 4 GB to 32 GB RAM. Its guide suggests 8–12 GB for a small group on a standard map, and more for large maps or mods; this is provider guidance, not a guarantee. | Guide describes choosing a location during setup; specific regions were not established in the available plan details. | Setup guide covers package and location selection, configuration, and starting the server. Specific crossplay, backup, file-access, and mod-support terms were not established in the available details. |
7D2D.net also displayed “40,000+ customers” and a Trustpilot score of 4.3 out of 5 from 346 reviews when checked in 2026. Those are provider-page claims, not independent measures of uptime or game-server performance, and can change.
Check platform compatibility before you buy
Crossplay is not simply a matter of putting players on the same server. Compatibility can depend on the game version, anti-cheat setting, player limit, world size, and whether the server is modded. 7D2D.net’s current guidance describes vanilla crossplay among PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S with EAC enabled, up to eight players and an 8K-or-smaller world. It says modded PC servers do not support console play. Treat these as provider-specific instructions, not a guarantee that every host or configuration supports crossplay.

Before purchasing, confirm that the exact server build and settings match every player’s platform. If your group wants mods, ask the host whether those mods are supported on its current game version and whether every player needs the same files. The official 7 Days to Die hardware information page also distinguishes dedicated-server requirements from ordinary client requirements; do not assume a PC that runs the game well is automatically a suitable server.
Estimate the resources your world needs
Memory needs vary with player count, map size, mods, and server settings. A third-party 2026 setup guide suggests 6 GB of free RAM as a minimum and 10–16 GB for a more comfortable modded or four-plus-player setup. Those are planning estimates, not official requirements or a performance guarantee. RespawnHost separately recommends starting around 8–12 GB for a small group on a standard map, with more for large maps or mods.

CPU performance and SSD space matter as well. The official hardware page says dedicated servers need more RAM and CPU than the game client, but the page details available here do not establish specific server figures. Use the estimates to frame questions for a provider, not as a substitute for checking its current plan limits.

A low starting price may not tell you how easy the server will be to operate. Check whether the host provides the controls your group actually needs:

Self-hosting is a reasonable alternative when someone in the group has a spare machine that can remain available and is willing to manage the server. The 7D2D Wiki guide covers dedicated-server hosting; the official hardware information page is a useful reminder that server requirements differ from client requirements. Budget time for setup and administration as well as hardware capacity.

Renting is the more hands-off route: the provider supplies the server environment, while you still manage your game world and make choices about settings and mods. If you do not want to keep a personal PC running or administer its ports and updates, compare managed plans instead.
Why this is a shortlist, not nine ranked picks
The available plan details substantiate two services well enough for a practical comparison, not nine evidence-backed recommendations. A Monolith Corp search listing described Germany-region hosting, a Ryzen 9 9950X production CPU, NVMe storage, panel and file access, schedules, and backups, but current prices, limits, and terms were not established. A Pinnacle Game Studios page result did not provide usable plan details. These are leads to verify, not recommendations to rank alongside providers with documented offers. No independent comparative benchmark or verified uptime test was established, so performance and reliability rankings would be misleading.
