How 7 Little Words works
The puzzle gives you seven phrases to solve and a five-by-five grid of letter groups. Each answer is assembled from those groups, and its length is shown. You can solve the clues in any order; there is no time limit or penalty for a wrong answer. For example, “deep fried treats” resolves to DONUTS by combining DO, NU and TS.
The game uses UK English, so a word may be unfamiliar if you usually play in another variety of English. It can be played online. Forbes’ July 12, 2025 guide to the July 13 puzzle describes the puzzle as themed around smells and noses.
