2. Check whether FS22 has an available game update
GIANTS’ update page says the game updates automatically when the console is connected to the internet. Its listing shows FS22 Update 1.14.0.0 dated April 25, 2024; that date does not establish whether your console has installed the available update or whether a later listing is available. Check the game’s update status on your PS5 and consult the official pages for current information: GIANTS Software updates and the FS22 changelog.
3. Consider whether the stutter began after a major update
GIANTS says the first launch after a major update may stutter when mods or custom graphics settings are in use because shaders are being recompiled. This is an official explanation for that particular situation, not proof that it explains your symptom. 6. Restart FS22 and the PS5, then compare
Close the game, restart the console, and check whether the same activity still stutters. This is a basic troubleshooting comparison; the reviewed official sources do not identify restarting as an FS22-specific lag fix or guarantee that it will help.

- System or game update status: establish whether the console and game are current before comparing performance.
- Timing after a major update: check whether the symptom matches GIANTS’ documented first-launch shader recompilation condition.
