The best Trial Chamber seed depends on your Minecraft edition. Java and Bedrock generate structures differently, so the same number can produce different villages, caves, and Trial Chamber locations. These eight seeds are separated by edition and include coordinates in X, Y, Z order.
Trial Chambers are part of the standard Minecraft 1.21 release for both editions; they do not require experimental features. The update launched on June 13, 2024, as documented in the official Tricky Trials announcement, the Java 1.21 release notes, and the Bedrock 1.21 changelog.

Best Java Edition Trial Chamber seeds
1. Trial Chamber less than 100 blocks from spawn
Seed: 1266581059289646120
Trial Chamber: X 71, Y -16, Z -2
Edition: Java
This is the strongest Java choice if you want to begin a Trial Chamber run almost immediately. The listed chamber is less than 100 blocks from spawn, although its underground Y coordinate means you still need to find a safe route down.
Use this seed for a fast start focused on Trial Chambers rather than a long exploration journey. The coordinate identifies the chamber area, not necessarily a walkable entrance.

- Includes Super Mario Mash-Up, Natural Texture Pack, Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, Campfire Tales Skin Pack; Compatible with Nintendo Switch only
2. Three Trial Chambers near two villages
Seed: 4349502568595714755
Plains Village 1: X 27, Y 76, Z -148
Plains Village 2: X -196, Y 90, Z -316
Trial Chamber 1: X -36, Y -8, Z 70
Trial Chamber 2: X 234, Y 2, Z -337
Trial Chamber 3: X -331, Y 7, Z -370
Edition: Java
This is the best Java seed for a survival base with several Trial Chambers within reach. Two Plains Villages provide early food, beds, crops, and villager trading opportunities, while three listed chambers create multiple targets for exploration.
The source also reports a fourth Trial Chamber and another village southwest of the main cluster, so the area may offer more destinations than the coordinates above show.

Seed: -876982360432160129
Mineshaft: X 41, Y 43, Z 41
Lush Cave: X 40, Y 29, Z 44
Trial Chamber: X 62, Y -19, Z 38
Edition: Java
Choose this seed if you want an underground route with several different environments in one area. The listed coordinates place a mineshaft and Lush Cave above or near a Trial Chamber, allowing you to combine cave exploration, mineshaft loot, and the 1.21 combat challenge.
Because these are overlapping underground targets rather than a guaranteed surface entrance, bring torches, food, blocks, and equipment for navigating caves before descending toward the chamber.

4. Trial Chamber merged with a Lush Cave
Seed: -4489292942806155692
Trial Chamber entrance room: X 168, Y -10, Z 302
Trial Chamber: X 131, Y -32, Z 302
Taiga Village: X 389, Y 69, Z 365
Edition: Java
This seed is the standout Java option for unusual underground generation. The Trial Chamber intersects a Lush Cave, with glow berries and spore blossoms appearing within the chamber area.
A Taiga Village is also listed nearby, giving you a practical surface location for supplies and shelter before exploring the structure. The entrance-room coordinate and the broader chamber coordinate are different, so use both as reference points rather than assuming one marks a surface opening.
Best Bedrock Edition Trial Chamber seeds
5. Trial Chamber less than 50 blocks from spawn
Seed: 2694521320399582826
Trial Chamber: X 55, Y -24, Z 25
Edition: Bedrock
This is the quickest Bedrock seed on the list. The Trial Chamber is listed as less than 50 blocks from the surface spawn area, making it suitable for players who want to test the structure immediately.
The published description also notes multiple skeleton Trial Spawners with poison-tipped arrows. That can make the opening encounter dangerous, so do not treat the short distance as a sign that basic starting equipment will be enough.

6. Three Trial Chambers with two Trail Ruins
Seed: 1096566289283163030
Ruined Portal: X 67, Y 94, Z 156
Trail Ruins 1: X 32, Y 69, Z -260
Trial Chamber 1: X 9, Y -24, Z -297
Trial Chamber 2: X 142, Y -26, Z 87
Trail Ruins 2: X -243, Y 64, Z 331
Trial Chamber 3: X -233, Y -32, Z 263
Edition: Bedrock
This is the best Bedrock seed for combining Trial Chambers with archaeology. It places three listed Trial Chambers near two Trail Ruins, plus a Ruined Portal, creating a broad exploration route with several different 1.21 activities.
Players collecting suspicious blocks and pottery sherds can make the Trail Ruins the first objective, then move between the chambers. The structures are spread across different coordinates, so this is better for a longer survival adventure than for an instant chamber entrance.
7. Trial Chamber beneath a Pillager Outpost
Seed: -6790634988129941564
Pillager Outpost: X -426, Z 137
Trial Chamber: X -457, Y -30, Z 137
Savanna Village: X -361, Z 187
Edition: Bedrock
This Bedrock seed links three useful destinations: a Trial Chamber below a Pillager Outpost and a nearby Savanna Village. The outpost provides a route to Ominous Bottles, while the village offers an early settlement and potential trading location.
The outpost also creates an additional combat risk before you even reach the underground structure. Approach carefully and prepare a safe village or temporary base before taking on both areas.

8. Plains Village directly above a Trial Chamber
Seed: -7082686264220947476
Plains Village: X 123, Y 75, Z 163
Trial Chamber: X 142, Y -27, Z 215
Edition: Bedrock
This is a practical Bedrock survival seed because a Plains Village sits above and near the listed Trial Chamber. Use the village for crops, beds, shelter, equipment, and villager trades before descending to the structure.

The current Java world-creation interface is divided into Game, World, and More tabs. The seed field is on the World tab. The interface details are documented in Minecraft’s updated Create New World documentation.
Bedrock Edition
- Open Play.
- Select Create New, then Create New World.
- Open Advanced.
- Enter the number in World Seed.
- Create the world.
On current Bedrock interfaces, the seed field is under Advanced → World Seed. Older documentation may show a Game → Seed path, but that describes an earlier layout. See the Bedrock menu reference and Bedrock 1.21.80 release notes.

How to find a Trial Chamber with a command
If cheats are enabled or you have the required operator permissions, run this command in either edition:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
/locate structure minecraft:trial_chambers
The command searches for the nearest Trial Chamber in your current dimension and returns coordinates. It does not guarantee a safe entrance. Approach the X/Z location, then investigate a natural cave or dig a controlled staircase instead of mining straight down.
Java’s command support is covered in the Java 1.21 release notes; Bedrock command syntax is documented in Microsoft’s Bedrock /locate reference.
Quick Recap
Important seed and coordinate warnings
- Check the edition first. Java and Bedrock do not guarantee identical structure locations for the same numeric seed. Use Java coordinates only in Java and Bedrock coordinates only in Bedrock.
- Match the version where possible. These listings were tested for their stated edition and should not automatically be treated as verified for every later 1.21.x release. Generation changes and version support are tracked in Chunkbase’s version history.
- Use the Y coordinate. X and Z identify the horizontal area, while Y indicates the underground level. Trial Chambers commonly sit in the Deepslate layer.
- Do not assume the coordinate is an entrance. A published coordinate may identify an interior room or central area. It may not mark a walkable opening from the surface.
- Protect your world before testing. Make a copy or test the seed in a new world if the structure location is important to your survival playthrough.
- Consider cheats and achievements. On Bedrock, enabling cheats disables achievements for that world, even if cheats are later turned off. If achievements matter, use the listed coordinates or a version-matched seed map instead. See Minecraft’s achievement guidance.
