Nagash is the headline Legendary Lord
Nagash, described as the “Great Necromancer” and “Supreme Lord of Undeath,” will be added as a playable Legendary Lord with a faction of his own. His arrival is one of the most significant additions to the campaign’s undead factions, but the DLC is not limited to Nagash.

- Empire Total War Complete Edition
Coverage of the announcement reports that the paid expansion will contain four Legendary Lords. The complete paid roster has not been confirmed in the available announcement coverage. A separate free Legendary Lord is also planned to launch alongside the DLC and should not be counted as one of the four paid Lords.
Reported Nagash mechanics
Preview coverage has associated Nagash with several mechanics designed around gathering and commanding the forces of undeath:
- A unique lore of magic tied to Nagash.
- Access to Nagash’s nine Mortarchs.
- The ability to recruit or summon major undead characters associated with other factions.
- Control of the Black Pyramid.
These features have been previewed rather than published as a final gameplay guide. Their exact rules, recruitment requirements, costs, and campaign implementation may change before release. The reveal materials also do not provide a current in-game menu path, setting name, or button label for accessing the DLC’s mechanics.

- A great way to begin your journey into the Warhammer 40,000 hobby
- Includes basic rules for the game, plus dice, a gaming mat, reference sheets, and a range ruler

New units include Khemric Titans and Morghasts
Reveal coverage identifies Khemric Titans and Morghasts among the units associated with the expansion. Creative Assembly has not yet provided a complete final unit roster in the material covered here, so other unit claims should be treated cautiously until an official roster announcement confirms them.
Immortal Empires is also changing
Lords of the End Times is being released alongside a broader update to the Immortal Empires campaign. The update is expected to add End Times-themed endgame content and make changes affecting undead and Chaos factions.
Preview coverage of Update 9.0 describes three End Times-themed crises:
Rank #3
- Warhammer 40,000
- An upgraded Vermintide crisis.
- A Nagash crisis.
- An Archaon crisis.
These are update-level campaign features, not confirmed paid-DLC-exclusive features. The same wider update is associated with an overhaul for the Vampire Counts. Until Creative Assembly publishes a complete feature breakdown, it is safest to distinguish the paid Nagash expansion from the free or broader campaign changes arriving around it.
What has not been confirmed?
Several details frequently repeated in early coverage remain unconfirmed:
- Exact release date: only Summer 2026 has been announced.
- Complete Legendary Lord roster: four paid Lords are reported, but the full lineup is not established.
- Specific characters: names such as Neferata, Walach Harkon, and the Glottkin should not be presented as confirmed paid Legendary Lords based on the available reveal coverage.
- Console release: no console version has been identified in the announcement materials reviewed.
- Access instructions: no final UI path, button label, launch option, or console command has been announced.
Graf Boris Todbringer has been separately reported in connection with the surrounding WARHAMMER III content, but the available material does not establish a complete final roster for Lords of the End Times.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is this the final Total War: Warhammer 3 DLC?
No. Despite the title, Lords of the End Times is not the final Total War: WARHAMMER III DLC. Creative Assembly has explicitly said that more content is planned after this expansion. The title refers to its End Times theme, not the end of the game’s post-launch support.
What players should expect
The confirmed picture is a major undead-focused expansion built around Nagash, supported by a four-Lord paid roster, new units, and a wider campaign update that intensifies the endgame. The most important distinction is between what belongs specifically to the paid DLC and what arrives as part of Update 9.0 or its associated free content.
For now, players should treat Nagash, his faction, the reported four-Lord structure, Khemric Titans, Morghasts, the Summer 2026 window, and the Immortal Empires campaign changes as the key announced details—while waiting for Creative Assembly to publish the full roster, final mechanics, pricing, system requirements, and release date.
