8 Checks to Try When HumanitZ Crashes on PC

HumanitZ crashes need different checks depending on the timing and error. Compare your PC with Steam’s requirements, then follow the steps for Line 4075 or D3D-device-lost.

If HumanitZ crashes on PC, first note when it happens—on launch, while loading, while driving, or in one particular save—and copy the full error message and code. A LowLevelFatalError at Line 4075 and a D3D-device-lost error point to different troubleshooting paths, so there is no single fix established for every crash.

1. Compare your PC with HumanitZ’s system requirements

Steam’s current listing specifies the following Windows requirements; meeting them is not a guarantee that every configuration will run without crashing. Check the HumanitZ Steam listing for updates, since requirements and support details can change.

Requirement Minimum Recommended
Operating system Windows 10, 64-bit Windows 10, 64-bit
Processor Intel Core i5-8600K Intel Core i7-9700K
Memory 16 GB RAM 16 GB RAM
Graphics Nvidia GTX 1060 Nvidia RTX 2060
Storage 20 GB available space 20 GB available space

Pay particular attention to the GTX 1060 minimum and 16 GB memory listing. If your PC is below the listed graphics requirement, that is relevant context for a graphics-related crash, but it does not by itself prove the cause.

2. Record the crash timing and exact error

Before changing settings, write down the point where the failure occurs and preserve the complete message, including any code or line number. The HumanitZ developer has asked players whether a crash occurs while driving or loading and whether the error mentions D3D or Exception Access Violation. Those details help distinguish symptoms that should not be treated as interchangeable. See the developer’s HumanitZ crash discussion.

  • CLASSIC RUMMY WITH A FRESH TWIST: Build sets, runs, pairs, and other card patterns as you race to complete your objective before your opponents.
  • SEE A CARD YOU NEED? CLAIM IT: Watch what your opponents discard. When the right card appears, you may have a chance to claim it—but other players might want that treasure too.
  • TWO WAYS TO PLAY: Choose the Classic Game for a different pattern each round, or try Progressive play and work through increasingly challenging combinations.
  • QUICK FUN FOR 3–6 PLAYERS: Easy to learn for ages 7+ with a 20–30 minute playtime that's great for families, teens, adults, game nights, and groups.
  • FROM GRANDPA BECK'S GAMES: From the creators of Cover Your Assets and Skull King, with nearly 4 million games sold worldwide.
  • Timing: launch, loading, driving, or a particular save/session.
  • Error: copy the full text, especially LowLevelFatalError, Line 4075, D3D-device-lost, or Exception Access Violation if shown.

3. For LowLevelFatalError at Line 4075, verify Steam files

For the specific LowLevelFatalError at Line 4075, HumanitZ developer representative The Derektor said a corrupted file in the game directory can be involved and recommended verifying the game’s files. In Steam, open Library, right-click HumanitZ, choose Properties, select Installed Files, then click Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the check to finish before launching again. The cited report also records a case where verification did not resolve the crash, so treat this as a targeted check, not a guaranteed cure. Read the Line 4075 discussion.

4. Test a fresh local session if the same crash persists

If verification changes nothing and the failure seems tied to one save, the developer suggested starting a brand-new hosted local session to help determine whether that reported problem was save-specific. This is a diagnostic comparison, not a save-recovery method: the cited case supports the possibility of a save-related issue but does not establish that every crash is caused by a corrupted save.

5. For D3D-device-lost, check the graphics driver

D3D-device-lost is a distinct graphics-related error signature. In a Steam reply dated September 4, 2025, The Derektor identified outdated graphics drivers, insufficient video memory (VRAM), and not meeting minimum system specifications as possible factors. The developer’s guidance is a troubleshooting view for that error, not proof of a universal cause. If your error is D3D-device-lost, install the current driver for your graphics card from its manufacturer, then test the game again. View the developer’s D3D guidance.

6. Lock the game to 60 FPS as a diagnostic check

The developer suggested locking settings to 60 FPS for the cited D3D-device-lost report. If you can reach the graphics settings, set the frame-rate limit to 60 FPS and see whether the same crash recurs under comparable conditions. This is a test suggested for that error context, not a confirmed fix for every HumanitZ crash.

7. Confirm HumanitZ is using the dedicated GPU

On a system with both integrated and dedicated graphics, check that HumanitZ is assigned to the dedicated card rather than integrated graphics. The exact menu varies by Windows version and graphics hardware; use your system’s graphics settings or the GPU manufacturer’s control panel to set the game’s preferred GPU. This check follows the developer’s D3D troubleshooting advice.

8. Contact support with the crash details

If the checks that match your error do not help, send support a concise report rather than only saying that the game crashes. Steam’s general launch troubleshooting advises contacting the developer when its steps are unsuccessful, and the HumanitZ Steam listing names indie.io support at [email protected]. Include:

  • The full error message and code, copied exactly.
  • When the crash occurs and whether it affects one save or session.
  • Your CPU, GPU, RAM, and Windows version, compared with the published requirements.
  • The troubleshooting checks you tried and what happened after each.

Steam’s general game-launch troubleshooting guidance explains when to escalate to the developer. HumanitZ is developed by Yodubzz Studios and published by indie.io; Steam lists indie.io as the support contact.
