For a Championship-focused EA Sports FC 26 Career Mode save, these eight young players offer a strong starting shortlist: Sverre Halseth Nypan, Yang Min Hyeok, Harrison Armstrong, Louis Page, Harry Amass, Jay Robinson, Igor Tyjon and Malick Yalcouye. The selection balances the potential figures reported in a September 2025 prospect list with a mix of forward, midfield and defensive roles; it is not a guarantee that every player will be affordable or available in your save.
How this eight-player shortlist is chosen
Planet Football’s list, published on 26 September 2025 for the 2025–26 season, names ten under-20 Championship prospects and reports their EA FC 26 potential. This article takes the top eight by that reported figure: Nypan at 86, Yang Min Hyeok at 84, three players at 83, then three of the five tied at 82. Because five players share that last value, the cutoff is an editorial choice rather than a definitive in-game ranking. The selection includes three of the tied players to provide a spread of roles.

Potential is only one part of a Career Mode signing decision. Planet Football does not provide a comparable set of transfer fees, wages or in-save availability for all ten prospects, so the figures below should help you decide who to scout—not predict what your club will have to pay.
The eight players to scout
| Player | Reported FC 26 potential | Snapshot context |
|---|---|---|
| Sverre Halseth Nypan | 86 | Middlesbrough loanee from Manchester City; base rating reported as 69. |
| Yang Min Hyeok | 84 | Portsmouth loanee; described as able to play across the forward line. |
| Harrison Armstrong | 83 | Preston North End loanee from Everton; described as a combative midfielder. |
| Louis Page | 83 | Leicester academy product who had made a senior debut. |
| Harry Amass | 83 | Sheffield Wednesday loanee from Manchester United; base rating reported as 68. |
| Jay Robinson | 82 | Southampton striker, described as a regular starter at the time of publication. |
| Igor Tyjon | 82 | Blackburn forward; base rating reported as 57, with three senior appearances at the time. |
| Malick Yalcouye | 82 | Brighton player on loan at Swansea; described as able to play across midfield. |
All club, loan and playing-time descriptions are the dated context in Planet Football’s 26 September 2025 article, not a claim about a later season or your save. The reported potential figures are likewise that source’s values, not a fresh in-game test.

Why each prospect fits a different save
Sverre Halseth Nypan: the potential-first pick
At 86, Nypan has the highest reported potential in this group. The source gives him a 69 base rating and places him at Middlesbrough on loan from Manchester City in its 2025–26 snapshot. If your save can accommodate a loanee or pursue him under the conditions your game presents, he is the clearest first name to scout when long-term ceiling is your priority.
Yang Min Hyeok: a flexible forward option
Yang’s reported potential is 84, second only to Nypan in the source’s pool. Planet Football describes him as capable of playing across the forward line and lists him as a Portsmouth loanee. That positional breadth may suit a squad that needs more than one kind of attacking cover, though the article does not provide a full position-by-position rating breakdown.
Harrison Armstrong: a combative midfield profile
Armstrong is one of three players reported at 83 potential. The source describes him as a combative midfielder and identifies him as a Preston North End loanee from Everton. He is the midfield-focused choice in the eight if you want to investigate a young player for the centre of the pitch rather than add another attacker.

Louis Page: Leicester’s academy prospect
Page also has a reported potential of 83. Planet Football notes his Leicester academy background and senior debut, but does not supply a position or detailed attribute profile in the cited summary. Scout him in your save to see whether his role and current attributes fill a need before committing to a transfer.

Harry Amass: a defensive-minded addition
Amass’s reported potential is 83 and his base rating is listed as 68. In the dated article he is a Sheffield Wednesday loanee from Manchester United. The article also quotes Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen discussing growth in Amass’s defensive work; that real-world comment is useful context, not evidence of an in-game attribute or guaranteed Career Mode development.
Jay Robinson: a striker to monitor
Robinson is a Southampton striker with reported potential of 82. Planet Football called him a regular starter at the time of publication. The source does not provide a base rating or a fee comparison, so use your in-save scouting report to judge how quickly he could contribute and whether a move is realistic for your club.

Igor Tyjon: a long-term project
Tyjon’s reported potential is 82, while his listed base rating is 57. Planet Football says he had made three senior appearances by the time of its September 2025 article. That low starting figure relative to the others makes him a more developmental proposition on the information available: consider him if your squad can give a young forward time rather than demanding an immediate first-team impact.
Malick Yalcouye: midfield versatility
Yalcouye rounds out the group at reported potential 82. The source lists him as a Brighton player on loan at Swansea and says he can play across midfield. If you value coverage across midfield roles, inspect his exact positions and attributes in your save; the broad description alone does not establish which role he will perform best.
How to use the list in your Career Mode save
- Scout for your squad need. Start with the role descriptions above, then check each player’s positions and attributes in your save. The source provides limited role detail, so do not treat the shortlist as a complete scouting report.
- Check the deal your save actually offers. The published list does not establish transfer fees, wages, contract terms or universal availability. Verify those details in your game before building a transfer plan around a player.
- Choose ceiling or immediate fit deliberately. Nypan leads this group on the reported potential figure, while the rest add forward and midfield options and a defensive-minded prospect. A higher potential number alone does not prove that a player is the best signing for your club.
- Reassess after scouting. Treat the reported potential as a shortlist signal, then use the information shown in your save to weigh current ability, role suitability and deal feasibility.
What the potential figures do—and do not—tell you
FCCareer says its FC 26 ratings and attributes are drawn from EA’s official ratings database, but notes that EA does not publish potential, market value or contract information there; some of those fields are carried over from the previous edition. Its methodology therefore distinguishes official EA ratings data from independent estimates. The potential values in this article should be read as figures reported by Planet Football, not official EA-published potential or a guarantee of an outcome in every save. See FCCareer’s FC26 tools and methodology for its explanation of those data limits.

Real-world performance and awards are separate from Career Mode data. For example, the EFL named Hayden Hackney Championship Player of the Season on 19 April 2026, but that award does not establish an FC 26 potential rating or make him part of this dated under-20 shortlist: EFL announcement.
