The Bluetooth model has switchable trigger modes and TMR sticks; those are features, not interchangeable modules. Swappable ABXY buttons are reported for 8BitDo’s separate Pro 3 controller.
Does the Ultimate 2 have swappable parts?
Not according to the published specifications for the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth. 8BitDo describes TMR joysticks, wear-resistant joystick rings, and a switch for changing the Hall-effect triggers between linear and non-linear tactile modes. None of those descriptions establishes that users can remove and replace joystick or trigger modules.

Swappable ABXY buttons are associated instead with the separate 8BitDo Pro 3, according to Tom’s Guide. The Ultimate 2 Bluetooth manual labels the controller’s parts and software references, but does not change the distinction between a selectable mode and an exchangeable component.

How to choose the right one
- For Switch or Switch 2: check the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth listing and its stated system-version requirements; its listed Switch connections include Bluetooth, 2.4G, and wired USB.
- For Windows, Android, Apple, or SteamOS: check the Ultimate 2 Wireless page, which lists those platforms. Do not transfer the Bluetooth edition’s compatibility or connection details to it.
- If replaceable buttons are the priority: look at the Pro 3 rather than assuming the Ultimate 2 has swappable parts.
- If you are comparing controller features: compare confirmed platform support, connection methods, remappable controls, motion and vibration support, and what is included in the box. The cited information does not establish latency or durability test results, or a guarantee against stick drift.
