This is an editorial shortlist of young-player Future Stars items, assessed for Ultimate Team value using position-specific attributes, role fit, chemistry potential, and how compelling the card is for different squads. Future Stars Icons and Academy Evolution outcomes are excluded so the comparison stays between campaign young-player cards. These cards debuted in 2025, so current availability may differ from the campaign period.
What counts as a Future Stars card in this ranking?
EA’s January 31, 2025 campaign announcement describes Future Stars as upgraded items for under-23 footballers. Some players receive two versions that represent different possible playing styles. The campaign also includes Future Stars Icons, distinct items that celebrate the early careers of legendary players; they are not young-player Future Stars cards. EA’s campaign announcement explains the promotion and its framing.

This list focuses on the young-player campaign cards, not Icons or players developed through the separate Future Stars Academy Evolution route. The order is an editorial judgment, not an EA-published ranking. A high overall rating alone does not make a card the best fit: position, attributes, tactical role, chemistry, and the exact version available all matter.
The 9 best young-player Future Stars cards
1. Lamine Yamal — 94 OVR
Yamal leads this list as the most compelling all-around attacking option among the cited Team 1 examples. His 94 rating gives him the highest listed overall in this comparison, making him a natural pick for squads seeking a high-end creator or wide attacker. Choose him when your attack benefits from a technically oriented forward who can operate in space and help link play. His precise attribute breakdown and PlayStyles are not established here, so check the exact in-game version before committing to a role.

2. Endrick — 93 OVR
Endrick is the clearest example of why overall rating should not be read in isolation. FUTWIZ lists his Future Stars card at 93 overall, with 94 pace, 91 shooting, 80 passing, 92 dribbling, 46 defense, and 80 physical. The combination points toward a direct attacking role: he has strong listed pace, shooting, and dribbling, while his defensive number is low. He suits teams that want a forward to threaten space and finish chances more than contribute defensively. These figures describe the cited card version, not every later evolution or variant; confirm the live item attributes in-game. FUTWIZ’s Endrick card listing provides the figures.
3. Benjamin Šeško — 91 OVR
Šeško is a strong candidate for a squad that wants a central forward rather than another wide attacker. His Team 1 listing places him at 91 overall. That rating supports considering him for a prominent role, but does not establish his detailed pace, aerial ability, PlayStyles, or preferred striker function; compare the actual card against your tactical needs before ranking him above a more specialized alternative.
4. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens — 91 OVR
Bynoe-Gittens offers another 91-rated option for managers looking to build around a young attacking player. He is a plausible pick for a wide role if your formation needs an attacker to stretch the pitch, but the cited roster data does not provide a full attribute or PlayStyle breakdown. Treat the role suggestion as squad-building guidance, not a verified claim about a particular version’s strengths.
Rank #2
5. Leny Yoro — 91 OVR
Yoro is the defensive-minded inclusion among the named Team 1 examples, making him the most relevant choice here for a squad prioritizing the back line. His listed overall is 91. Without a cited breakdown of defending, pace, physicality, or PlayStyles, the rating alone cannot confirm whether he fits a high line, a physical matchup, or a particular defensive role. Check those attributes on the exact item you can access.
6. The strongest alternate version of a double-potential player
EA says some Future Stars players have two versions representing alternative potential playing styles. For those players, the better pick depends on your squad: compare both versions’ position-specific attributes, role fit, and chemistry rather than assuming one is automatically superior. The campaign announcement establishes that alternate versions exist, but it does not identify a universally best version for every player or formation.
7. A Future Stars attacker that fills your specific role gap
If your squad already has a central scorer, prioritize a card that fills a missing function—such as width, chance creation, or link-up play—instead of adding another similar striker. The secondary Team 1 database lists multiple young-player cards, but the cited material does not provide complete attributes and PlayStyles for every candidate. Use the in-game item details to make this a role-based choice rather than a rating-based one.

8. A Future Stars defender that complements your back line
Defenders should be judged against the job your team asks them to do. A card’s pace and defending may matter more than its overall rating if you defend high or rely on recovery runs; physicality and positioning can be more important in other setups. Yoro is the named defensive example in the cited roster, but without full comparable attributes, this spot is best treated as a selection principle rather than a claim that one unnamed card is objectively eighth-best.
9. The attainable card that improves your actual XI
The final place belongs to the Future Stars item you can use, afford, and fit into your squad—not necessarily the one with the highest rating. Evaluate chemistry links and the upgrade or version you can actually obtain. EA Help lists general routes for campaign player items, including the transfer market, rewards packs, objectives, season levels, and store packs; that guidance does not confirm any specific Future Stars item is still obtainable. EA Help’s Ultimate Team guidance describes these broad item routes.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow to choose between cards for your squad
- Start with the role: Decide whether the XI needs a finisher, a creator, width, or defensive reinforcement.
- Compare the relevant attributes: For a striker, shooting and dribbling may be decisive; for a defender, pace and defending can matter more than the headline overall. Endrick’s listed 94 pace and 91 shooting alongside 46 defense illustrate why a card should be judged by its intended job.
- Check the exact version: If a player has alternate Future Stars versions or an evolved item, compare the item details you actually have access to.
- Account for chemistry and attainability: A slightly lower-rated card that fits your squad and is obtainable can be more useful than a nominally stronger item that does not.
Future Stars Academy is a separate route
The Future Stars Academy is not simply another pack or campaign card. EA says players choose one of 15 Academy candidates and develop that player through three Evolution phases. Completing the route turns the selected player into an Icon with Icon chemistry. The route also includes Evolution consumables for customizing PlayStyles and skill-move or weak-foot ratings; EA warns those required consumables must be completed before the final Evolution step. See EA’s Future Stars Academy details for the route’s mechanics.

- Homefield Advantage – Game-altering homefield advantages rattle your rivals in college football’s toughest places to play. Test your squad’s road game composure and confidence levels as you play through distractions like screen shaking, missing pre-play icons, and moving play art.
- Iconic Atmospheres – From The Big House to the Swamp. From Tuscaloosa to College Station. Experience the decibel-shaking soundscape of college football putting you inside the stadium, alongside all the iconic rituals and traditions that make you feel right at home.
- Wear & Tear – With the new Wear & Tear system as the hits add up, players wear down. Manage your players’ health, limit fatigue, assess risk of injury, and avoid on field mistakes by using strategic substitutions to ensure your players are at their best when it counts the most.
Because the Academy result is built through Evolutions and culminates in Icon chemistry, it should not be compared as though it were a standard young-player Future Stars campaign item. Consider it when you want a development project and can complete the required phases, rather than when you are simply choosing among the campaign cards above.
Availability and card-data caveats
EA’s general guidance names several possible routes for campaign items, but it does not establish that any particular 2025 Future Stars item remains available now. Likewise, the cited ratings and attributes are Ultimate Team card data, not real-world performance statistics. Team Gullit’s secondary listing is the source for the cited Team 1 ratings; FUTWIZ supplies Endrick’s attribute example. Check the current in-game item and its acquisition route before planning a squad around a specific card. Team Gullit’s Future Stars listings are a secondary roster reference.
