Divock Origi, Yankuba Minteh and Kevin Schade are among the nine striker candidates recommended in March 2025 guides for EA Sports FC 25’s FUT Birthday Striker Glow-Up Evolution. This ranking combines those published suggestions; it is not a current-meta list or the result of head-to-head testing. The Evolution is from FC 25, and its historical requirements do not prove it remains available. Check the Evolutions screen and the exact card you own before committing it.
How to use this ranking
The order below is a practical editorial synthesis of two guides published in March 2025: FifaUltimateTeam.it’s seven named picks and Destructoid’s suggestions, published March 9 and updated March 10. Neither source supplies a shared scoring system or controlled comparison that establishes a definitive best-to-worst order. Treat the ranking as a shortlist, then choose by eligibility, the boosts your card needs, and the role you want it to play.

The reported Evolution requirements are maximum 74 overall, ST position, no more than 10 PlayStyles, and zero PlayStyles+. These are historical details from WeFUT’s FC 25 Evolution listing, accessed October 7, 2026; they are not confirmation that the Evolution is still open. EA’s Evolutions guidance advises checking the displayed requirements and any unlock cost before proceeding.
The nine recommended players
| Rank | Player | Reported base overall | Guide source | How to assess the fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Divock Origi | 73 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | Check that your exact item qualifies, then decide whether its weaknesses suit the Evolution’s substantial pace, shooting and dribbling boosts. |
| 2 | Yankuba Minteh | 74 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | His reported base rating is at the listed maximum, so verify the in-game eligibility display for your exact card before using a slot. |
| 3 | Kevin Schade | 72 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | Compare the item’s starting attributes with the upgrade package and the striker role you need; the source list does not provide a shared rating comparison. |
| 4 | Wilson Odobert | 73 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | Consider the Evolution if its boosts address your card’s needs and the resulting player fits your squad role. |
| 5 | Evan Ferguson | 74 | FifaUltimateTeam.it and Destructoid | He appears in both guides, but that overlap is not a tested performance ranking. Confirm your exact item meets every displayed rule. |
| 6 | Bénie Traoré Orban | 74 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | At the reported overall limit, this is another card for which checking exact-item eligibility in game is especially important. |
| 7 | Alexander Mikkelsen | 68 | FifaUltimateTeam.it | His lower reported base overall leaves more room for the listed overall increase, but that alone does not establish that he is the best fit for your team. |
| 8 | Thomas Cannon | Not stated by the cited guide | Destructoid | Check the item’s rating, position and PlayStyles in game; the guide’s suggestion is not proof that every version qualifies. |
| 9 | Zeki Amdouni | Not stated by the cited guide | Destructoid | Use the same eligibility and role checks as for any other candidate; no shared source comparison establishes his relative value. |
The first seven names and their reported overalls come from FifaUltimateTeam.it’s March 9, 2025 list. Cannon and Amdouni are two additional suggestions from Destructoid’s March 9 article, updated March 10. The ranking does not imply that these nine outperform every other eligible striker, and the cited guides do not establish current market prices or availability.

What the Evolution adds
WeFUT’s FC 25 listing, accessed October 7, 2026, reports these completed upgrade values: +25 overall, +20 pace, +30 shooting, +10 physicality, +25 agility, +20 balance, +15 reactions, +15 composure, +30 vision, +25 ball control, +25 dribbling, +20 heading accuracy, +20 long passing, +35 short passing and +25 curve. It also reports +4 Weak Foot and +4 Skill Moves, as well as Trickster+ and Finesse Shot+ among the resulting PlayStyles. These are game-item values, not real-world performance statistics; check the item’s in-game preview for its exact outcome.
That package points to a useful selection method: inspect the card you actually own rather than selecting by name alone. A card may be more attractive if the pace, shooting, close control or passing increases support the way you want to use your striker. The sources do not provide individual before-and-after card breakdowns for all nine players, so they cannot establish which candidate gains the most in a particular role.

Check eligibility and commitment before you start
- Open the Evolutions screen in Ultimate Team and find the FUT Birthday Striker Glow-Up entry. Do not assume a historical FC 25 listing means it is currently available.
- Select the exact player item you intend to use. Compare its displayed overall, position, PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ with the requirements shown in game.
- Review the displayed upgrade preview and any unlock cost. EA’s general Evolutions guidance says to check requirements and costs before proceeding.
- Commit only if you are comfortable with the item’s restrictions while the Evolution is active. EA says an item submitted to a standard Evolution slot becomes untradeable and cannot be discarded or used in SBCs during that period. Some Evolutions may also remove Chemistry bonuses from Special Items.
Why this is a historical shortlist, not a live meta ranking
The two player guides are dated March 2025, while EA’s general help page explains Evolutions broadly rather than confirming the availability of this specific FC 25 Evolution. The available sources also do not provide live item prices, current market supply or a controlled head-to-head test. The ranking is therefore best used to identify cards worth checking—not as a claim about the strongest striker in Ultimate Team today.
For campaign context, EA’s March 6, 2025 FUT Birthday announcement says FUT Birthday items receive five-star Skill Moves and five-star Weak Foot upgrades. That campaign-wide detail does not establish that every player on this Evolution shortlist is a FUT Birthday item.
