Which game in the collection is having the problem?
KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE bundles KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. The specifications published for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX are not universal requirements for the other components. Note which game is affected and whether the symptom is a crash, unreliable input, or persistently low FPS before troubleshooting.
Square Enix’s guidance is symptom-specific: it provides a crash checklist, a controller compatibility note, and a separate general PC article about erratic input. Steam’s FPS advice is general PC guidance rather than a Kingdom Hearts-specific fix. The sources do not establish one verified remedy for all low-FPS issues across the collection.

- Confirm the PC is connected to the internet and that the game is updated to its latest version.
- Update the graphics-card driver.
- Restart the PC and try the game again.
- If the issue remains, reinstall the affected game.
- If it still crashes or fails to launch, contact Square Enix support and attach Msinfo and Dxdiag files.
These are support steps, not a diagnosis of a known bug or a guarantee that one cause applies to every crash. Square Enix’s article is titled “The game crashes on my PC.”
How to save the diagnostic files Square Enix requests
- Open the Windows Start menu, type
msinfo32, and wait for System Information to load. - In System Information, choose File > Save and save the resulting
.nfofile. Wait at least a minute after saving before closing the window. - Open Start, type
dxdiag, and choose Save All Information to create the Dxdiag report. - Attach both files when contacting Square Enix support, along with the name of the affected game and a concise description of when the crash occurs.
How to fix controller problems and erratic movement
Square Enix describes Xbox, PlayStation DualShock, PlayStation DualSense, and Steam Input controllers on PC as partially supported. Some parts of the game may require keyboard and mouse, so a controller that works in gameplay may not be enough to navigate every screen. See Square Enix’s PC controller support information.

If a character moves unpredictably or input seems to be coming from the wrong device, treat it as a possible input conflict rather than assuming the controller is defective. Square Enix’s separate article is general PC advice, not a confirmed diagnosis for every Kingdom Hearts game.
Test one input source at a time
- Disconnect other controllers, joysticks, steering wheels, or similar devices, then test with only the intended controller connected.
- Check that the controller connection is stable and that its calibration is correct. In Windows, use the Game Controllers settings to check or recalibrate it.
- Temporarily disable third-party controller or remapping software and test again.
- If the problem persists, try restarting with the controller disconnected. Square Enix’s general guidance also describes removing existing controllers through Control Panel before reconnecting and testing.
- If controller navigation remains unreliable, try keyboard and mouse for the affected menu or section.
The troubleshooting suggestions come from Square Enix’s older article about erratic movement on PC. A replacement controller is not a reliable fix for a software, calibration, or device-conflict problem.
How to troubleshoot low frame rates
First identify the affected game and compare your PC with that game’s published requirements. Steam lists the following targets for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX; they are published specifications, not guaranteed performance or benchmark results.

These requirements are for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX as listed on the Steam store page. Meeting them does not ensure a particular frame rate on every PC.

Try low-risk performance checks
- Install current graphics drivers and available updates for the affected game.
- Close unusually demanding background applications, then check whether performance changes.
- Lower graphics options or resolution one at a time, testing after each change so you can tell which adjustment helps.
- If performance remains poor, note the affected game, PC specifications, settings, and whether the problem is constant or occurs in particular situations. Steam’s general FPS guidance notes that many system-specific factors can affect frame rate and that changing video options may help; it does not provide a verified fix for the collection.
If low performance is accompanied by crashes, follow the crash steps above. If the issue persists, contact Square Enix with the game name and relevant PC details; the game’s Steam technical-support route points to Square Enix support.

- The exact collection game affected and whether the issue is a crash, input problem, or low FPS.
- What happens, when it happens, and whether it began after an update or a change to the PC or controller setup.
- Which troubleshooting steps you tried and what changed after each one.
- For persistent crashes, the Msinfo and Dxdiag files requested by Square Enix.
For unresolved technical issues, use Square Enix support.
