Dungeon Munchies 2 controller support has not been confirmed on the game’s official Steam listing. The listing gives a planned Early Access date of November 5, 2026, but does not name supported controllers or say whether controller play is available. The original Dungeon Munchies has its own controller FAQ; its compatibility claims and fixes do not establish how the sequel will work.

Does Dungeon Munchies 2 support controllers?

As of October 7, 2026, the official Steam listing does not specify controller support or identify compatible controller models. Because the game is listed as forthcoming, that omission is not proof that controllers will never be supported; it means compatibility is currently unconfirmed by the available official listing. Check the store page again around launch for an update.

The listing gives November 5, 2026 as the planned Early Access release date. Planned release dates can change. In its developer-authored Steam Q&A, maJAJa says the initial Early Access build is expected to include the first story chapter, about 2–3 hours of gameplay, with additional chapters planned as development continues. That description is about content, not controller support.

What to try if a controller is not detected on Steam

These are general Steam troubleshooting suggestions, not fixes confirmed specifically for Dungeon Munchies 2. Try them one at a time so you can tell whether a change helps.

Zero Strategy Games Shuffle Dungeons Board Game – Solo and Co-op Dungeon Crawler for 1–4 Players
  • DYNAMIC DUNGEON BUILDER: Modular tiles and evolving layouts create a new adventure every session. Double-sided cards become rooms or gear, so the map shifts as you explore. No two playthroughs are ever the same.
  • TEAMWORK AND TACTICS: Choose from 8 unique heroes and work together in this fully co-op experience. Share loot, combine abilities, and coordinate strategies to survive enemies and defeat the boss.
  • SMART CARD SYSTEM: Every card has two uses—expand the dungeon or boost your hero. This dual-purpose deck system drives deep decisions and exciting trade-offs with just three cards in hand.
  • PLAY SOLO OR TOGETHER: Designed for 1–4 players, with solo rules built in. Whether you're flying solo or gathering your group, the scalable difficulty and quick sessions make it perfect for all setups.
  • BIG FUN, SMALL BOX: Fast setup, quick turns, and replayable modes packed into a compact box. Perfect for weeknights, travel, or casual groups who want a dungeon crawler without the bulk or burnout.
  1. Restart the game with the controller connected. Close the game, disconnect controllers, relaunch it, and then connect one controller to test input.
  2. Close controller-mapping or emulation software temporarily. Programs that translate or remap controller input can conflict with a game or Steam. Steam’s general guidance includes disabling conflicting programs.
  3. Test with only one input device connected. Disconnect additional controllers and other input devices, then check whether the problem remains.
  4. Restart the Steam client. If the controller still is not recognized, exit and reopen Steam, then test again.

Steam lists these as general controller troubleshooting steps in its controller support guidance. The steps may help isolate an input problem, but they do not guarantee that a controller is supported by Dungeon Munchies 2.

What the original Dungeon Munchies FAQ says

The developer’s FAQ for the original Dungeon Munchies—not the sequel—states: “Yes, we support PS4, Xbox One and Logitech controllers.” For that original game, the FAQ recommends restarting after plugging in a controller if inputs are not registering. It also advises disabling third-party controller software such as DS4Windows if movement or jumping behaves erratically.
