Adventure Time: Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest is a 2014 single-player action-adventure for Windows PC. It sends Finn and Jake through themed areas of Ooo to rescue BMO, with the official listing promising 28 levels and tag-team combat. Steam currently marks the game unavailable there, so its store status is an important part of any decision to seek it out.
What kind of game is Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest?
Developed by NGD Studios and published by Cartoon Network Games, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest launched on April 11, 2014. The official premise has Ooo transformed into a giant video game, with Finn and Jake setting out to rescue BMO. The listed locations include the Witch’s garden, the Ice Kingdom, the Fire Kingdom and the Land of the Dead.
The Steam listing describes it as an action-adventure and advertises a new story with original voice work for Finn and Jake. It is single-player; the store page also lists Steam Achievements, Family Sharing, English interface, full audio and subtitles, and 12 achievements. These are listed features, not a measure of how well the game executes them.
How does the advertised gameplay work?
The store description centers on tag-team combat. Finn unlocks swords, while Jake gains stretchy attacks, and the listing promises secret spells and enemies from the show. Cartoon Network Games advertises 28 levels and four bosses.
#1 Best Overall
- Five playable 'episodes' tied together by a mysterious common theme and rousing epilogue
- Innovative gameplay by exploration - solve puzzles using logic and humor
- Players 'live' in each episodes of the show and have full character movement within each location
Those details outline the intended appeal: familiar characters and locations, combat abilities for both heroes, and a rescue quest structured across multiple levels. They do not establish how varied the encounters feel, how responsive the controls are, whether the levels become repetitive, or how clearly objectives and routes are communicated. Without a hands-on playthrough, those are open questions rather than review verdicts.
Is Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest still available on Steam?
No. Steam currently marks the game as unavailable on its store page, which also displays Cartoon Network Games’ notice that sales would end after December 23, 2024. That is a Steam-specific status; it does not establish whether an authorized seller elsewhere currently has the game. Check the authorization and current listing directly before buying, and avoid unofficial downloads.

What are the PC requirements?
Steam’s official store page and support listing give these historical minimum requirements:
| Component | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows XP, Vista or 7 |
| Processor | Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2 |
| Memory | 2 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GT240 or ATI Radeon 4850 |
| Storage | 5 GB available space |
These are the game’s listed minimums, not a guarantee of compatibility with a current Windows setup. Steam separately notes that its client supports Windows 10 and later beginning January 1, 2024. The older operating systems in the game requirements therefore should not be read as a promise that today’s Steam client will run on XP, Vista or 7.

What do the historical updates establish?
Steam’s April 25, 2014 announcement for Build 243200 records fixes for freezing associated with the Enchiridion and Tree Witch, camera behavior during Hug Wolf attacks, combo controls, Hug Wolf attack timing, unreachable food pickups in the Death boss battle, and a save issue. The notes show that those specific issues were addressed in that update; they do not demonstrate performance on modern hardware or current operating systems.
What does Steam’s review snapshot say?
When accessed on October 7, 2026, Steam showed 507 user reviews and 73% positive. That is a changing platform snapshot, not an independent quality assessment or a representative study, and it cannot answer the unanswered hands-on questions about combat, pacing or navigation.

Who is it for?
The advertised premise and features are most relevant to players looking for a single-player Adventure Time story with Finn and Jake, recognizable settings, and action built around their contrasting abilities. The available official information establishes the format and feature list, but not enough about moment-to-moment execution to recommend it on gameplay quality alone. Steam’s unavailable status also means a prospective player needs to confirm a legitimate current route to obtain it before treating it as a practical option.
