For Cha Hae-In, the Pure Sword Princess, build around Defense: Netmarble confirms that her skill damage scales with it. Prioritize Defense, then improve damage with useful Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, and Damage Increase rolls. Artifact sets depend on the mode and your actual stats, so treat community set combinations as starting points—not a proven universal best-in-slot build.
First, choose the right Cha Hae-In
Solo Leveling: ARISE has two distinct Cha Hae-In versions. This build is for the Water-type Cha Hae-In, the Pure Sword Princess, whose skills scale with Defense and whose kit uses Will of the Sword. The original Cha Hae-In is Light-type and has a different build; her exclusive weapon is The Sword of Light. Do not carry that weapon recommendation over to the Pure Sword Princess. Netmarble identifies the Pure Sword Princess and confirms her Defense scaling, while Game8’s older Cha Hae-In guide covers the original version.
Which stats should you prioritize?
Defense first
Defense is the foundation of this build because it directly supports the Pure Sword Princess’s skill damage. Favor Defense on eligible main-stat slots and seek strong Defense substats when choosing between otherwise comparable artifacts. Netmarble’s artifact information lists Defense% as a possible main stat on helmets, rings, and boots. Its artifact rates guide also describes crafting options: eligible crafting can let you select a main stat and, with the relevant materials, up to two substats. Check the current in-game crafting rules and slot options when refining a piece.
Offensive secondary stats
After Defense, look for Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, and Damage Increase. These are priorities suggested by a player guide, not official breakpoints or results from controlled testing. That guide mentions targets such as 40,000+ Defense, 200%+ Critical Hit Damage, and 6,000 Critical Hit Rate; treat them as one player’s progression goals rather than requirements for every account or mode. Mana stats only when your setup needs them
Mana consumption reduction and MP can be useful if you choose the Obsidian set and your rotation needs help maintaining its mana condition. The community guide ties those stats to that set’s threshold-dependent performance; they are not universal priorities independent of your artifacts and play pattern.
What artifacts are a good starting point?
A May 2025 community guide suggests the combinations below. They are player recommendations, not an official ranking, and the guide predates later game updates. Check the set bonuses currently available in your game and compare your actual artifact rolls before committing to a combination.

Set names alone do not determine the better build. Check whether the set effects suit the mode, then weigh them against the Defense and offensive stats on the actual pieces you can equip. Netmarble’s artifacts guide provides general artifact information; it does not establish a current best-in-slot set for the Pure Sword Princess.
Which weapon should you use?
Valkyrie’s Oath is identified as the Pure Sword Princess’s exclusive weapon by the community-maintained character page. That identifies her signature weapon, but it does not prove it is the best choice for every account. The reviewed official material confirms Defense scaling but does not compare Valkyrie’s Oath against current alternatives or establish advancement breakpoints. When deciding, compare a weapon’s Defense contribution, how its passive fits your build, and the advancement level you actually have. The character page lists Valkyrie’s Oath; it is not a controlled weapon ranking.

How should you use her skills?
Build and spend Will of the Sword rather than treating the gauge as incidental. Netmarble identifies Heavenly Strike as her Basic Skill and Sword Princess’s Dance as her Core Attack; both charge the gauge. A fuller gauge increases the number of Heavenly Swords that deliver extra strikes, and the official guidance says maintaining as many of those additional strikes as possible is key to her effectiveness.
- Use Heavenly Strike and Sword Princess’s Dance to charge Will of the Sword.
- When the gauge is high, make use of the additional Heavenly Sword strikes.
- Adapt the timing and skill order to the mode and your team rather than assuming one fixed rotation.
This is the verified gauge-building loop, not a complete optimal team rotation. The official material does not establish a universal swap order, and the right sequence can depend on supports and mode. Netmarble’s Pure Sword Princess article describes the gauge mechanics. An AriseTools Water Team Guide, updated August 17, 2026, places her in a Water-team damage-dealer context, but that does not establish one best team for all content.

How to make the build work with your account
- Start with the correct character: equip this build on the Water-type Pure Sword Princess, not the original Light-type Cha Hae-In.
- Secure Defense: prioritize Defense where the artifact slot and available rolls allow it, since her skill damage scales with the stat.
- Improve damage with the pieces you have: weigh Critical Hit Damage, Critical Hit Rate, and Damage Increase against the value of a set bonus and your Defense total.
- Choose sets for the mode: use the community combinations as candidates, then verify current bonuses and how well your pieces fit.
- Consider mana economy conditionally: look at MP or mana consumption reduction when using Obsidian if your setup needs it to meet the set’s condition.
- Build around her gauge: charge Will of the Sword with her Basic Skill and Core Attack, then capitalize on the extra strikes.
There is no official current best-in-slot artifact ranking or controlled comparison establishing that one listed set, weapon, or team rotation is universally superior. The practical choice is the one that fits the current mode, available bonuses, and quality of your equipped rolls.
