To play a specific community-made Game Builder Garage creation, search for its Game ID or the creator’s Programmer ID. Nintendo does not provide an in-game catalogue of every uploaded game, so the codes below are community leads—not a verified or ranked list. Their availability may have changed since they were posted.
Community Game Builder Garage codes to try
These codes come from community posts rather than Nintendo’s catalogue. The older recommendations below were shared in a GameFAQs thread; the names are community labels, not official titles or endorsements. The April 2026 adventure comes from a creator’s Reddit post. None of the entries was confirmed as downloadable in-game for this article.

How to find and download a shared game
Nintendo calls the identifiers Game IDs and Programmer IDs. A Game ID points to a specific shared creation; a Programmer ID can help you find work associated with a creator. Nintendo says there is no feature for browsing every uploaded creation, so you need an ID from a creator or a community post. Nintendo’s Game Builder Garage FAQ explains the sharing and download features.

- Find a Game ID or Programmer ID from a creator or community source. Check that the post gives the full code and any relevant context.
- In Game Builder Garage, use the search/download option for shared games and enter the ID. Nintendo’s FAQ describes searching by either identifier.
- Download the creation if it is available. Online uploading and downloading require a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately. Nintendo also supports sharing creations locally over wireless.
- Open a downloaded creation in Free Programming if you want to examine how it was built.
Nintendo’s FAQ reports that the game supports creations with up to eight players, but that does not mean every shared game is multiplayer. Check the creator’s description for the intended player count and whether a game is designed for solo or group play.
What to expect from the codes
Older recommendations are leads, not a current best-of ranking
The GameFAQs codes are several years old. Their descriptions and availability have not been independently verified here, so treat the names as search leads rather than guarantees. Nintendo says an update released August 5, 2025, may change how older creations behave because of improved processing speed. That is an additional reason to test an older code in-game.

The newer adventure has more description, but still needs checking
The April 2026 creator post gives a brief account of a platform adventure and links the project to fourteen Game IDs. Its newer date and added description make the post a useful starting point, but do not confirm that every ID remains downloadable or that the games play as described. Use the creator’s post for the full set rather than relying on a partial list.
Use downloaded games to learn how they work
A shared game can be more than something to play: Nintendo says downloaded creations can be inspected in Free Programming. You can look at how the creator connected Nodon and use the project as an example while learning the tools. The game includes seven interactive lessons and a Free Programming mode; Nintendo’s guide also points learners to Alice’s Guide and the Nodopedia for explanations and refreshers. See Play Nintendo’s beginner guide alongside the Nintendo FAQ.

Safety and access considerations
- Nintendo recommends looking up creators you know and trust. A community post is a pointer to user-generated content, not Nintendo approval.
- Parents can use console parental controls to restrict access to user-generated content.
- Nintendo allows players to report inappropriate uploaded creations or titles for review. Its support instructions cover these options.
Game Builder Garage is software for Nintendo Switch, and the codes are useful only if you have the game. Nintendo’s product page describes exchanging codes to download friends’ games as a feature.
