Yes—Warzone players can earn COD Points from Battle Pass rewards when the current season’s reward track includes them. Whether those points are free depends on whether the reward is marked Free or requires a paid pass. There is no guaranteed amount available free every season, so check the in-game track before counting on points for your next pass.
How earning COD Points in Warzone works
COD Points are the currency used for eligible in-game purchases, including the Battle Pass. They are different from Battle Pass Tokens: Tokens are used to unlock tiers, while COD Points are rewards that may appear in the track. In Black Ops 7 and Warzone, XP earned in public modes, including Warzone, contributes to Battle Pass Tokens for players who own the paid pass. The free pass does not award Battle Pass Tokens. Activision’s Battle Pass and BlackCell guide explains the pass structure.
Free rewards depend on the season
The free pass gives players rewards specifically marked Free. A COD Points reward is not automatically free just because it appears in the Battle Pass; check its label and any pass requirements in the current in-game reward track. Activision’s official materials do not establish a fixed quantity of COD Points that every player can earn for free each season.
Season 06 is an example, not a standing guarantee
For Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06, Call of Duty promoted up to 1,100 COD Points in Battle Pass rewards and identified 200 COD Points among the completion rewards. Its store page listed the Season 06 base Battle Pass at 1,100 COD Points. These are Season 06 figures, not a promise that all 1,100 points are free or that future seasons will use the same reward layout. Check the reward track for the eligibility of each reward. Earn points or buy them?
| Option | Out-of-pocket cost | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Battle Pass reward | No separate purchase for a reward marked Free; other rewards may require the paid pass. | Current season, reward amount, and whether each COD Points reward is marked Free or requires an upgraded pass. |
| Purchase through Warzone | Requires buying COD Points. | Activision’s guide says to use the Store menu and select Franchise Store; availability can depend on platform and region. |
| Purchase through platform store | Requires buying COD Points. | Buy through the relevant platform store and ensure any store credit matches your platform and region. |
Activision lists the in-game Franchise Store and the platform’s store as purchase routes in its COD Points guide. A platform gift card or store credit is only a way to fund a purchase; it is not COD Points itself.
Can you earn enough for the next Battle Pass?
Possibly, but do not assume that earning points in one season will cover the next pass. Compare the COD Points rewards you can actually claim—especially those marked Free—with the next pass’s price once it is announced. Season 06’s listed base pass price was 1,100 COD Points, and the season’s advertised reward total was also up to 1,100; that does not establish that a free-track player could earn the full amount. Both the reward split and the next season’s price may differ.

- A TEAM SPORT, NOT A TOSS GAME. Two teams play at the same time. One side attacks the pole, the other defends and intercepts. First to eleven, win by two.
- OFFENSE AND DEFENSE, LIVE. Passing, interceptions, turnovers, rebounds and penalty shots. Possession changes constantly, so the game moves instead of taking turns.
- BUILT FOR FOUR TO TEN. Flexible team sizes from two-a-side to five-a-side. Best with six or more.
- MOST GROUPS LEARN IT AS THEY PLAY. Rules take about two minutes. Because the format is new, the skill gap is much shorter than in an established sport.
- SETUP IS ABOUT THREE MINUTES, ANY FLAT SURFACE. Grass, turf, sand or gym, with no out-of-bounds. Collapsible pole, penalty zone, sport disc and carry bag. Replacement parts available.
Do COD Points transfer between Xbox, PC and PlayStation?
No. COD Points earned through Battle Pass progression or purchased are tied to the platform where they were unlocked or bought, and can only be spent there. Activision states that points earned through the Battle Pass can only be spent on the platform being used when the tier awarding them is unlocked. Items purchased with COD Points generally share across linked Activision-account platforms unless the item is platform-exclusive. If you play on more than one platform, consider where you want to spend the points before claiming a COD Points tier. See Activision’s platform and COD Points guidance.

Activision’s June 5, 2026 platform update said Warzone downloads and local-currency purchases on PS4 and Xbox One were curtailed beginning June 4, and the in-game store was removed June 25. At the time of that update, Warzone play on those consoles was scheduled to continue through the end of Black Ops 7 Season 06, with support ending later in 2026; Activision also said the free Battle Pass would remain available during the transition. These dates describe the announced transition, not a guarantee that the service or store remains available now.
