Yes, but with an important distinction: community mods can create or manage occult hybrids, while EA’s official guidance does not promise that an unmodded Sim can reliably have two occult types at once. A child of parents with different occult types is likely to inherit one type or the other—not both.
What counts as a hybrid in The Sims 4?
An occult hybrid is a Sim with more than one occult type, such as a vampire who is also a spellcaster. That is different from one occult having multiple forms. EA’s Fairy guide, for example, describes a regular Sim form and a Fairy form as separately editable appearances; it does not establish that the Sim has two occult states.
It is also different from changing which occult is selected in Create a Sim (CAS). EA’s October 22, 2024 update says players can swap occults in CAS if they own the necessary occult packs. That describes changing the selected occult, not keeping multiple occult states on one Sim. EA’s update notes

EA’s official documentation does not promise reliable dual-occult hybrids in unmodded play. Its guidance covers changing the selected occult in CAS and how occult traits can be inherited, but neither establishes that one Sim will reliably remain both types.

For offspring, EA Help says a child with one occult parent and one regular parent has a 50/50 chance of being an occult Sim. When both parents have different occult types, EA says the baby is likely to be one type or the other. It gives no percentage for that pairing and does not say the child will be a hybrid. - Occult Hybrid Unlocker & Stabilizer (CurseForge): describes transformations through normal gameplay, such as a Rite of Ascension or Mermaidic Kelp, and panel changes for accessing occult perks and motives. These are different approaches, not a guarantee that every occult combination will work. Compare the features each creator actually lists, which occult types or forms it covers, any required dependencies, known defects, and its installation instructions. The available listings do not establish one best mod or confirm compatibility with every game build.
How to check a mod after a game update
EA does not pre-screen, endorse, or support specific mods or custom content. Its guidance warns that older mods can cause problems after an update and recommends checking with the creator for compatibility. - Check the mod creator’s current release notes and instructions against the game version you have installed. Do not assume a mod still works just because it worked before a patch.
- If the game has problems, follow EA’s instructions to test with mods disabled, then re-enable and check them. Change one mod at a time when practical so you can identify a problem file.
- Be careful about saving while custom content or mods are disabled: EA warns that doing so may remove that content from the save.
Do you need an occult pack?
EA’s CAS occult-swapping feature requires the necessary occult packs. That requirement applies to swapping the selected occult in CAS; buying packs alone is not documented as a way to create stable hybrids. Packs may provide access to the occult types you want, but a hybrid mod’s requirements and compatibility are separate questions.
