Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could come to Nintendo Switch 2, but Sandfall Interactive has not announced a port or release date. In a July 30, 2026 report, GamesRadar quoted creative director Guillaume Broche saying the studio was interested in finding a way to bring the game to the console, but it was too early to announce anything.
What did the developers say about a Switch 2 port?
GamesRadar’s July 30, 2026 report attributed the following statement to Broche: “We are interested in looking for a way to do it, but it’s too early for us to announce anything at this point.” That expresses interest, not a confirmed port.
The same report quoted Sandfall CTO and co-founder Tom Guillermin describing the work as “a big technical challenge.” He said the team wanted to make the game beautiful, while the Switch 2 is not as powerful as PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. The report also said the developers pointed to Unreal Engine features that do not work as expected on the console. These comments indicate obstacles, but do not establish whether the studio is actively developing a version or what its performance would be.
Is there a Switch 2 release date?
No. The developers gave no release window in the comments reported by GamesRadar, and the report did not announce a port. Predictions about when a possible version might arrive should not be mistaken for a studio-confirmed date. The latest developer update covered here is from July 2026; it does not establish the project’s status after that interview.
