In TechSpot’s March 2026 benchmark, a desktop GeForce RTX 4060 averaged 61 frames per second (fps) in Crimson Desert at 1080p using the High preset. At 1440p High, the same card averaged 45 fps. Those results make 1080p High a plausible target for roughly 60 fps; they do not show that the game holds a locked 60 fps on every RTX 4060 system.
What the RTX 4060 benchmark shows
TechSpot tested 40 GeForce and Radeon GPUs and reported these averages for the desktop RTX 4060:
| Resolution and preset | Average | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p High | 61 fps | About 60 fps on average in this test. |
| 1440p High | 45 fps | Below 60 fps on average in this test. |
The comparison is from TechSpot’s Crimson Desert GPU benchmark. The 1080p result is the basis for saying an RTX 4060 can average around 60 fps; it should not be generalized to higher resolutions. TechSpot’s GPU comparison used native rendering without upscaling.
Why 61 fps average is not a locked 60
An average combines performance across the test run. It does not establish that the game stayed at or above 60 fps in every moment, nor does it report a 60-fps minimum or frame-time consistency for the RTX 4060. Busy scenes, movement through the world, and the settings chosen can produce a different experience from the reported average.

#1 Best Overall
- Dual Fan: Two fans and a huge heatsink ensure a cool and quiet experience for you.
- TORX FAN 4.0: A masterpiece of teamwork, fan blades work in pairs to create unprecedented levels of focused air pressure.
- Reinforcing Backplate: The reinforcing backplate features a flow-through design that provides additional ventilation.
- Zero Frozr: The fans completely stop when temperatures are relatively low, eliminating all noise.
TechSpot used a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and Windows 11 24H2. Its benchmark route lasted 40 seconds in the NPC-rich town area of Hernand. It tested High and Cinematic presets at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. That controlled setup makes the figures useful for comparing GPUs, but it is not a guarantee for a PC with different hardware or software.
Official PC requirements are not an FPS promise
Pearl Abyss lists the following examples in its official PC requirements. The requirements do not promise a particular frame rate for either tier.
Rank #2
- Powered by NVIDIA DLSS3, ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace arch, and full ray tracing
- 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 4x performance with DLSS 3 vs. brute-force rendering
- 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2x ray tracing performance
- OC Mode: 2535 MHz (Boost Clock) / Default Mode: 2505 MHz (Boost Clock)
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
| Tier | Graphics examples | Other listed requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Radeon RX 5500 XT or GeForce GTX 1060 | 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, 150 GB available storage, SSD |
| Recommended | Radeon RX 6700 XT or GeForce RTX 2080 | 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, 150 GB available storage, SSD |
Meeting a listed minimum or recommended graphics tier is a compatibility and configuration reference, not evidence that the game will reach 60 fps at a chosen resolution and preset. The RTX 4060 result above comes from a separate benchmark.

- Resolution and preset: The cited 61-fps average is specifically 1080p High; the 1440p High result is 45 fps.
- Desktop or laptop GPU: TechSpot’s figure is for a desktop RTX 4060. The cited benchmark does not establish performance for an RTX 4060 laptop GPU.
- Game and driver versions: The result dates to March 2026. The available evidence does not establish performance after later game patches or driver changes.
- Upscaling and other settings: TechSpot’s GPU comparison was run without upscaling. A result using upscaling or different graphics settings is not directly equivalent.
Pearl Abyss notes in its March 10, 2026 performance notice: “The performance figures shown are based on internal testing results. Performance may vary depending on your PC’s hardware and software configuration, as well as changes made to individual graphics settings.”
