It adds five summonable mounts, reduces loading times for Abyss Traces and revival, and brings a broad set of control, combat, quest, interface, graphics, and stability changes. The update was listed for Steam on PC and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and the Mac App Store. It is a historical patch, not the current version: Steam’s announcements index lists Version 2.03.02 on September 22, 2026.
What Patch 1.01 added
Pearl Abyss’s official Version 1.01.00 patch notes, published March 28, 2026 at 18:00 UTC, highlight five new summonable mounts, shorter loading times, and further control improvements. The notes list the update for Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and Mac App Store.
Five new summonable mounts
The new mounts are White Bear, Silver Fang, Snowwhite Deer, Rock Tusk Warthog, and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex. The first three are Legendary Animals; the other two are bosses. Each can be obtained and summoned after meeting the relevant conditions. Townspeople are not afraid of tamed animals. If you captured a Legendary Animal before the update, its corresponding reward was eligible to appear retroactively in the Extra Rewards List.
More crafting, storage, and Photo Mode options
- Refinement Tokens: Temper equipment up to Stage 4 without additional materials.
- Make Now: Craft or cook immediately rather than using the previous process.
- Store all selected items: Move selected inventory items to private storage in bulk.
- Material chests: Find these throughout Pywel.
- Photo Mode: Set a greater maximum camera distance, adjust the field of view, and use a shutter sound.
Controls, movement, and combat changes
The update adjusts player and horse movement, makes turning more responsive, and reduces stamina use while flying. Equipment can be used in flight, and several aerial skills were adjusted. Aerial Maneuver and Aerial Swing cost less stamina; Aerial Stab is not unlimited, as its stamina cost increases with consecutive uses. The notes also list weak-point indicators and fixes affecting skills, interactions, and inventory behavior.

Other quality-of-life improvements
- Wholesale grocer NPCs were added at regional farms, and knowledge acquisition from shops was made faster.
- Pet behavior was improved.
- Each well interaction provides five units of water.
- Materials from the Mining Knuckledrill and Demenissian Chainsaw can be collected immediately.
- The minimap can be set to north-up, and additional indicators were added to maps and menus.
Quest, graphics, and stability fixes
Patch 1.01 includes quest-progression fixes and graphics changes for low-resolution or upscaled output, as well as translucent materials when using FSR-RR or DLSS-RR. On PlayStation 5, it adds a “Fixed 4K Output” option. The notes also describe stability, optimization, and crash fixes across PC, console, and Mac, plus localization corrections.
Loading times: what the notes establish
Pearl Abyss says loading times were reduced when using Abyss Traces and after revival. The patch notes do not provide a measured reduction, frame-rate result, or crash-rate figure, so the size of the improvement cannot be quantified from the announcement.

Is Patch 1.01 the latest Crimson Desert update?
No. Version 1.01.00 is an earlier update. Steam’s Crimson Desert announcements index lists Version 2.03.02 dated September 22, 2026. That index entry establishes that later versions followed; it does not, by itself, confirm which version is currently available on every platform.
