It added Tiana and her restaurant to the base game, while owners of the A Rift in Time expansion received the final story act and Jafar. An August 28 hotfix then addressed several quest, access, and placement problems. These are historical notes for the 2024 release, not patch notes for the game’s current update.
When did the Dapper Delights update arrive?
Gameloft published the patch notes on August 19, 2024, and announced the update for August 21. Its launch announcement called Dapper Delights the twelfth free update. Read the official Dapper Delights patch notes or the August 21 launch announcement.
What did all players get?
Tiana, her restaurant, and daily meals
Tiana joined the Valley with friendship quests and rewards. Her arrival began with a quest in the Glade of Trust involving a mysterious cookbook. She opened Tiana’s Palace as a restaurant and brought Tiana’s Meal Stall, which offers rotating daily prepared meals.
Dapper Delights Star Path and other additions
The Dapper Delights Star Path featured Roaring Twenties-inspired clothing, hairstyles, makeup, and furniture, along with a Donald Duck Dream Style. The update also added an Ariel’s Royal Bundle to the Premium Shop, new stock at Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and interactive furniture intended to bring villagers together for photo opportunities.

Arcade Edition caveat: The patch notes state that Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition does not include seasonal Star Paths or the Premium Shop. That distinction is specific to those features; the notes do not establish broader platform-based content differences.
What did A Rift in Time owners receive?
Owners of the expansion received Act III, “Treasures of Time,” its final act. The story continues Jafar’s schemes on Eternity Isle; after completing the story, players can welcome Jafar to the Valley and access his friendship quests and rewards.

The update also added a Jafar Scramblecoin figurine. Its movement changes on each turn it remains on the board. The Royal Hourglass is part of the broader A Rift in Time experience.
What quality-of-life and gameplay changes were included?
Furniture, wardrobe, and outfits
- Furniture and Wardrobe menus gained search filters and favorite and hidden categories.
- Players could save custom outfit presets to switch between complete looks.
- New-item labels and additional sorting options made collections easier to browse.
- A room’s furniture could be cleared all at once.
Controls, photos, and cooking
- Photo Mode gained two full-body avatar poses.
- Players could enable hold-button prompts for fishing and timebending.
- The cooking results screen and animation could be turned off.
- The default gamepad sprint button changed.
Remy’s Special Deliveries
Remy’s Special Deliveries were rebalanced. The patch notes increased the base Wrought Iron reward to 6 and the maximum reward to 15, reduced some Wrought Iron crafting costs, increased the payment for Stitch’s big order, and lowered the number of pies required for the pie-eating contest. The Wrought Iron-to-Iron Ingot recipe became available only after the first Special Deliveries quest.

Other changes
The update revised Belle’s character model, added PlayStation cross-play, changed critter and villager schedules, and listed optimizations intended to reduce crashes and loading times. Those performance improvements were stated goals in the patch notes, not independently measured results.

What were the launch-era platform and access caveats?
In its August 21 announcement, Gameloft said cross-play was available across platforms, but cross-save between PlayStation and other platforms was not available at that time. Multiplayer required an internet connection and, depending on platform, could require a subscription to that platform’s online service. These statements describe launch-era availability and should not be treated as confirmation of current compatibility.
