No. HITMAN 1 progress and unlocks do not transfer into HITMAN 2. IOI’s documented progression carryover went in the opposite direction—from HITMAN 2 to HITMAN 3—and that historical transfer process ended on February 3, 2026. Access to HITMAN 1 missions in a later game is a separate matter from carrying over your progress.
What transfers—and what does not
IOI Player Support’s Progression Carryover Guide states: “Progression can only be carried over from HITMAN 2.” That describes a HITMAN 2-to-HITMAN 3 process, not a way to move HITMAN 1 progress into HITMAN 2. There is no documented HITMAN 1-to-HITMAN 2 progress transfer.

The distinction matters if you played HITMAN 1 missions within HITMAN 2. Progress earned on those locations could be included in the later HITMAN 2-to-HITMAN 3 carryover. It still did not represent a transfer from HITMAN 1 into HITMAN 2.
The old HITMAN 2-to-HITMAN 3 carryover is closed
IOI discontinued the historical carryover process on February 3, 2026, at 09:00 UTC. The guide, updated February 4, 2026, documents the rules of that now-closed process; it is not a current option for moving progress between games.

Mission access is different from progress transfer
Owning or accessing HITMAN 1 locations in a later game does not mean your earlier challenges, mastery, or unlocks have been imported. Content access concerns whether a game license entitles you to play a location; progression transfer concerns whether your earned progress moves between games.
IOI says location importing was shut down in January 2023 as the games’ content was brought together in HITMAN World of Assassination. IOI also says World of Assassination owners automatically gained HITMAN 1 GOTY and HITMAN 2 Standard content. Check IOI’s World of Assassination content announcement and the store listing for your platform for the applicable content and edition details.

How current World of Assassination cross-progression works
World of Assassination cross-progression uses linked IOI accounts, but it does not share game or DLC licenses between platforms. Linking accounts to synchronize eligible progression does not grant ownership of a location or another platform’s copy of the game. See IOI’s cross-progression details and verify the licenses on the platform where you want to play.
For current purchase or access questions, IOI describes World of Assassination as the current base product, including HITMAN 1 GOTY and HITMAN 2 Standard content. Exact availability and entitlements can depend on platform, edition, and existing ownership, so confirm the current store listing rather than assuming a license transfers with progress.
