The January 22, 2025 report got one major February arrival right, but put another game in the wrong month. Xbox’s February 4 announcement confirmed Madden NFL 25 for February 6 through EA Play. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was announced later, for June 17—not February. Heroes of the Storm was described in the original report as a presumed PC Game Pass addition, and the Xbox announcements cited here do not confirm that claim.
What the January report said—and what Xbox confirmed
The January 22, 2025 report named Crash Bandicoot 4, “NFL 25,” and Heroes of the Storm as prospective Game Pass additions. Xbox’s official announcements later established different outcomes: Madden NFL 25 joined the February lineup through EA Play, Crash Bandicoot 4 was announced for June, and the Heroes of the Storm claim remains unverified by the official February and June announcements cited here.
The game’s official name is Madden NFL 25. The report’s “exclusive” label described its own reporting; it was not an Xbox confirmation. The subsequently published Xbox lineup is the relevant confirmation of dates, platforms, and eligible plans.
When Madden NFL 25 arrived, and who could play
Xbox Wire’s February 4, 2025 announcement listed Madden NFL 25 for Cloud, Console, and PC on February 6 through EA Play. It named Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as eligible tiers. Xbox said members could play through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. The route matters: the announcement identified EA Play access, rather than presenting the game as a direct Game Pass catalog addition.

Crash Bandicoot 4 was a June addition, not a February one
In its June 5, 2025 announcement, Xbox Wire listed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for Console and PC beginning June 17. The eligible tiers named were Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Those are the tiers in that historical announcement; it does not establish the game’s availability today.
The January report described Crash Bandicoot 4 as a 2020 release and named PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Nintendo Switch. That release-platform information does not establish whether a particular Xbox retail listing or physical edition is currently available.

What is—and is not—confirmed about Heroes of the Storm
The original report said Heroes of the Storm would come to the subscription service, “presumably via PC Game Pass.” That qualification signals an expectation, not a confirmed access route. The official Xbox February and June announcements cited here do not confirm its addition, a date, a platform, or an eligible tier. It should not be described as a confirmed Game Pass release on this evidence.

The dates and plan eligibility above describe Xbox’s 2025 announcements. They do not establish whether Crash Bandicoot 4 remains in Game Pass on October 8, 2026, or whether Madden NFL 25 is currently accessible under the same terms. For present-day availability, check the current official Game Pass catalog before relying on these historical lineups.
