Yes—pre-release coverage reported three Dark Souls-inspired character looks in Elden Ring Nightreign: Solaire, the Faraam knight from Dark Souls II, and Leonhard from Dark Souls III. They were described as purchasable skins or costumes, not confirmed armor equipment with stats or armor-slot behavior.
Which Dark Souls characters have reported looks in Nightreign?
Windows Central’s pre-release coverage named three costume references:
- Solaire: the recognizable knight from Dark Souls.
- The Faraam knight: a look associated with Dark Souls II.
- Leonhard: a character from Dark Souls III.
The report describes these as character skins or costumes. That wording matters: it does not establish that they are separate armor pieces players can equip in armor slots, or that they change defense, attributes, or other gameplay stats.
How were the looks reported to be obtained?
Windows Central reported that the skins could be bought with Murk, Nightreign’s in-game currency, at a mirror in Roundtable Hold. This is a detail from pre-release secondary coverage; the official publisher pages reviewed for the game do not provide a cosmetic catalog confirming the named looks or their current availability. Treat the mirror and Murk detail as the reported acquisition method, not as a guarantee that every player can currently find or purchase each costume.

Why does Nightreign include Dark Souls references?
In a GamesRadar interview write-up published May 29, 2025, director Junya Ishizaki said the team wanted to evoke characters summoned from different places and times, and felt that idea could extend to Dark Souls. He described the series as a “fun fit.” The rationale is thematic: the costumes connect Nightreign’s gathering of characters from a wider world with familiar figures from FromSoftware’s earlier games.
Nightreign’s release context
Elden Ring Nightreign released on May 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. Bandai Namco describes it as a co-op action survival game for up to three players that also supports single-player. Those details establish the game context, but do not independently confirm the costume list.
