The Augur Raid is a blue-bubble side event during an Expedition, not the final Augur Nightlord battle on Day 3. A documented route is to play Expedition 3: Sentient Pest, Day 2 on the matching map layout. When the raid begins, enter the large blue bubble, defeat Augur, and keep every player alive: a death fails the event.
Augur Raid vs. the Augur Nightlord
The raid is a separate, in-run encounter with its own arena and failure condition. It can occur during a Sentient Pest Expedition while you are progressing through the two exploration days. The regular Expedition then ends in a mandatory Nightlord battle on Day 3. These are different fights, even though both feature Augur.

There is also a later Everdark Sovereign version of Augur called Maris, Fathom of Night. Bandai Namco announced that cycle as awakening on July 31, 2025. That Nightlord variant is not what the blue-bubble raid guide below describes.
Where and when to look for the raid
PowerPyx documents a repeatable example: Expedition 3: Sentient Pest, Day 2, on a matching map layout. The guide also says raids may appear with other Expedition and map combinations, so this is a known route, not a guarantee that it is the only route.

- Start the Sentient Pest Expedition and check the map layout, using camp positions to identify whether it matches the known example.
- If the camps do not match, restart the same Expedition and check again; the route relies on the relevant layout appearing.
- On Day 2, watch for the large blue bubble and its marked area. Once the event starts, head into the bubble instead of continuing to search elsewhere; the raid can coincide with a shrinking zone.
The guide describes raids as starting from the second Expedition onward, but does not provide a spawn rate or guarantee. There is no established percentage chance for the Augur Raid.
How to join the fight and avoid failing it
A player close to the bubble may be pulled into the fight when the raid starts. Co-op partners who are farther away should enter the bubble themselves to participate. Do not assume the event will bring the whole team in automatically.
- Stay together: Make sure teammates are inside the bubble and ready to fight.
- Prioritize survival: The raid fails if a player dies, according to PowerPyx’s guide.
- Move promptly: The event may overlap with a shrinking zone, so delay can add pressure.
Nightreign is primarily balanced around three-player co-op, while solo play is also available; the publisher says enemy HP is scaled down in solo mode. That general solo note does not establish how raid-specific HP or mechanics scale.
How to beat Augur inside the bubble
Augur’s attacks reward movement and careful timing. GameSpot describes tracking jellyfish-like blobs that explode, tentacles that slam from the ground, water waves, a later-phase sleep egg, and an arena-wide sleep charge. Use these responses to limit exposure and make the brief openings count.
Tracking explosive blobs
Keep moving and dodge as the blobs explode. Standing still to attack can leave you exposed to their tracking.
Ground tentacle slams
Dodge forward or sideways through the slams rather than trying to outrun them. The tentacle targets offer limited damage, so do not linger in danger for a weak opening.

Water waves
Keep enough distance to read the wave, then dodge into it as it reaches you. Dodging too early can leave you caught by its timing.
Sleep egg
When the large, shining egg appears in the later phase, focus attacks on destroying it before it lands.
Arena-wide sleep charge
When Augur stops to charge the arena-wide sleep attack, have the team rush in with coordinated attacks or available Ultimate Arts to interrupt it. This is a useful point to concentrate damage rather than spreading attacks across the encounter.

GameSpot identifies Augur as weak to lightning, so lightning damage is a useful preparation choice if you have access to it. Bandai Namco recommends checking Nightlord weaknesses in the Expedition profile and looking for weapons with the matching element before Day 3. That advice does not guarantee that a particular lightning weapon will drop for the raid.
Ranged attacks have a practical advantage: Augur’s damage windows are brief, and melee players may have to take extra risks to reach a target. Melee can still contribute, but time attacks carefully and avoid staying close when a larger attack is coming. No single Nightfarer or fixed team composition is established as the best choice for this raid.
What reward does the Augur Raid give?
An Eldenpedia community wiki search result reports a permanent team buff: healing with Flasks also restores Focus Points. This reward claim is less firmly established than the route and failure condition; it was not confirmed in the accessible official publisher pages or the accessible raid guide. Check the current in-game reward before relying on it as a definite outcome.
