How to choose a deal
There is no source-supported best deal for every Nightfarer or expedition. Compare what the offer gives with what it takes, then account for how long the benefit lasts and whether it can make the boss more dangerous for your teammates.
- Match it to your build. Attribute changes can favor one approach while weakening another. Consider your weapons, spells, and current stats rather than choosing solely by the headline benefit.
- Price in survival resources. A stamina, maximum-HP, FP, flask, or level cost can matter more than a nominal bonus when you are already short on that resource.
- Check duration and trigger. A temporary boost, a penalty that triggers on flask use, and a one-time emergency effect have different value over an expedition.
- Consider the whole party. The full-strength bargain is unusual because Libra may also gain a combat advantage. A personal benefit can carry a team-wide risk.
- Decline when the exchange is poor. Refusing is a listed option with no reward or penalty.
Duration matters because an expedition is not a single boss encounter. Bandai Namco Europe’s official starter guide describes two exploration days with mandatory nighttime boss fights, followed by a Nightlord encounter on Day 3. An effect’s value therefore depends on when you receive it and how its cost carries into later fights.

Libra’s raid curse is a separate interaction
Do not confuse the pre-fight bargain menu with the Libra field raid. In the raid, the party receives a curse and can seek Libra on the map to pay a reported fee of 15,000 runes on Day 1 or 35,000 runes on Day 2. Paying lifts the curse; community and secondary guides report that Libra then offers further deals at no cost.
