EA forum staff said a reported EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode bug involving firing a coach was addressed in Title Update #3. The available report does not establish the exact trigger, affected platform, or how many players encountered it. It also does not show that fans broadly erupted online. A separate Player Career save-loading problem reported after the EURO 2024 update was a different issue.
What was the FC 24 manager error?
An EA forum discussion titled “Career mode bug – firing a coach” concerned a problem in Career Mode when firing a coach. In the forum search record, an EA staff reply said: “The issue has been addressed in Title Update #3.” The report does not specify the bug’s precise trigger or which platforms were affected, so those details should not be assumed.

That response indicates EA considered the reported issue addressed in the named update; it does not establish how common the bug was or whether every player’s experience was identical.
Did the issue cause widespread fan rage?
The forum report supports saying that a player raised a complaint online. It does not establish that FC 24 players generally were enraged, or that the bug affected most players. No representative sentiment data or reliable prevalence figure is available in the cited record. The phrase “fan rage on the internet” therefore overstates what the evidence shows.

Which update did EA identify?
EA forum staff pointed to Title Update #3 as the update that addressed the coach-firing issue. The available record does not provide a confirmed update date or identify a platform-specific version number. If you are investigating the old report, check the version installed on your own system rather than assuming the issue remains current or that every release used the same numbering.
How this differs from the EURO 2024 Player Career crash
A separate EA forum thread, “New EURO 2024 mode crashes Player Career mode,” was reported on June 6, 2024. It concerned loading Player Career saves after the EURO 2024 mode update—not firing a coach in Manager Career. EA staff said Title Update 15.1 should fix that separate stability issue and advised players to update the game, restart their platform, and try loading the save again.

| Report | Affected mode and symptom | EA response in the forum record |
|---|---|---|
| “Career mode bug – firing a coach” | Career Mode; issue associated with firing a coach. Exact trigger and affected platforms are not established. | EA staff said it was addressed in Title Update #3. |
| “New EURO 2024 mode crashes Player Career mode” | Player Career save-loading stability problem reported after the EURO 2024 update; initial report dated June 6, 2024. | EA staff said Title Update 15.1 should fix it and advised updating, restarting the platform, and loading the save again. |
These are distinct reports. The Player Career crash is not evidence that the Manager Career coach-firing bug caused save crashes.

FC 24 has separate Manager Career and Player Career experiences. Manager Career is the club-management option: it covers areas such as the squad, tactics, transfers, finances, and player development. Coaches support development in particular departments. EA’s current Career Mode guide can help explain those general features, but it may reflect later guidance and should not be treated as proof that every detail worked identically in the original FC 24 release.

What to do if you encounter a Career Mode problem
- Check the affected mode and symptom. Determine whether the problem occurs in Manager Career while managing coaches or in Player Career while loading a save. Similar references to “Career Mode” do not mean the reports describe the same bug.
- Check that the game is updated. The coach-firing forum response cites Title Update #3; the separate Player Career stability response cites Title Update 15.1. These are the update references in the respective reports, not proof that either is the newest update available today.
- For a Player Career save-loading failure matching the EURO 2024 report, EA staff advised updating the game, restarting the platform, and trying to load the save again.
- For a different or persistent problem, note the platform, installed game version, mode, and steps that reproduce the issue before seeking help. The coach-firing report does not provide enough detail to diagnose a specific trigger or platform.
