Bring Neve on the trip to Dock Town: her abilities are required to investigate clues and open the route forward. This spoiler-forward walkthrough follows the route and reward list reported by Gamer Guides in its guide, last updated February 3, 2025.
Start the quest and choose your companions
- Complete the main story quest Into the Crossroads.
- Speak to Neve at the Lighthouse to begin “The Smuggled Relic Case.”
- Select Neve and one other companion before heading to Dock Town. Neve is required for the investigation and gate-opening steps. Gamer Guides recommends Harding as the second companion because she can heal during combat.
Follow Neve to the temple
The opening conversation introduces the Viper and a dangerous relic being sold on the black market. Follow Neve to Razikale Walk. Work your way to the northern stairs, follow the path, and enter the temple through the opening in its roof. Clear the enemies inside, then have Neve use her ability on the remnant.
Investigate the temple and market
- Inspect the corpse in the corridor.
- Defeat the demons in the courtyard.
- Go to the small room in the southwest. Have Neve investigate the blue orb, then open the gear chest opposite it.
- Use Neve’s ability on the enchanted lock to disable the shield.
- Return to the back of Central Market and climb the ladder to the roof. Have Neve inspect the next blue orb to summon the remnant.
Take the rooftop route to the docks
Follow the clue toward the docks. The Central Market elevator is out of order, so do not wait for it: use Neve’s ability on the locked gate on the opposite side instead. Cross the area, climb onto the Warrens rooftops, and clear the enemies. Continue through the Garden Restaurant, then take the zipline down to the docks.
Open the barrier at the docks
Interact with the blue orb in the center area to trigger a fight with the Venetori Mage Captain. Gamer Guides recommends using ranged attacks to strip its shield and exploiting its ice weakness. After the fight, climb the nearby building and shoot the floating crystals to unseal the barrier. Go through and follow the Spillway to the final encounter.

Defeat Albin Bateris
Gamer Guides identifies the final boss as Albin Bateris. During the fight:
- Dodge the marked area attacks.
- Clear summoned enemies rather than letting them accumulate.
- Use ranged attacks to reduce the boss’s shield.
- Use Neve’s ice attacks against the boss’s reported elemental weakness.
- Take available combo attacks when the opportunity appears.
Quest rewards reported by the guide
Gamer Guides lists these completion rewards:
- 2,500 XP
- Exhaustive Notes
- +100 Shadow Dragons Strength
- A Companion Bond Increase
A separate Game8 result also reports 400 Gold, but that reward is not listed on the opened Gamer Guides page and is not confirmed here. The guide uses the spelling “Albin Bateris”; another walkthrough result spells the surname “Bataris,” and the sources available here do not establish an official canonical spelling.
