When Kozama’uka flight unlocks
Collect all 10 field currents and complete the five listed quest currents. Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 Notes explain the general rule: “Players who met this new aether current requirement prior to the release of Patch 7.0 will unlock the ability to fly in each area.” The per-zone count and locations here come from community guides, not the patch notes.

A note on Kozama’uka’s people
Kozama’uka’s waterside communities help give the route its setting: Square Enix describes the Hanuhanu as reed cultivators who revere the great bird Kixaihih, while the Moblins collect materials and working environments for contracted artisans. Square Enix’s Dawntrail world guide provides these descriptions.
