How the later 7.5 updates were staged
Patch 7.5 is the start of a series, so not every announced feature was available on launch day. The official notes set out this schedule:
| Update | Scheduled content |
|---|---|
| 7.5 launch | Main scenario quests, Windurst: The Third Walk, The Clyteum, Enuo, Shinryu’s Domain, and other listed launch features |
| 7.51 | Auxesia; Cosmic Tool enhancement quests; custom deliveries with Tiisol Ja; Dancing Mad (Ultimate) |
| 7.55 | Occult Crescent: North Horn; Phantom Weapon updates; Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures; allied society capstone sidequests |
| 7.56 | Further main scenario quests and Beastmaster |
This is the schedule stated in the Lodestone notes updated May 13, 2026. For current availability or any later schedule change, check the latest official patch notes.

Do you need Dawntrail to play Patch 7.5?
Access depends on the feature. The patch notes identify expansion-registration requirements for some content, including Dawntrail, rather than applying one requirement to every addition. Check the requirement shown for the particular quest, duty, or feature you want in the official notes; they do not establish that every Patch 7.5 feature requires Dawntrail or a physical copy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What Patch 7.5 means for FFXIV players
For players following the story and raids, the launch centers on a new main scenario chapter, the final Echoes of Vana’diel installment, and new duties. Other additions arrive across 7.51, 7.55, and 7.56, making the patch series more than a single launch-day drop. Square Enix also reported more than 30 million total registered accounts in its post-release announcement; that cumulative figure is not a count of active or paying players.
