Move three furniture pieces onto the stage in Joy’s Dream Productions space, wear three items tagged Elegant, play the piano, establish the Remote Headquarters for 10,000 Star Coins, then gather six materials for a light stick and deliver it to Sadness.
Enter Joy’s Dream Productions space
- After completing Out of the Blue, return to Headquarters and speak with Joy.
- Follow Joy to the sparkling spot near the right wall and interact with it to enter her Dream Productions space.
- Inside, go to the camera and speak with Joy again.
Set up the stage and perform
Move the three furniture pieces
Open Furniture Mode and pick up the potted tree, fireplace, and globe staged near the left side of the room. Move all three onto the main Dream Productions stage. Their exact positions do not matter, but each must be on the stage for the quest to proceed.
Wear elegant clothing and use the piano
Open the wardrobe and filter clothing by the Elegant tag. Equip three items with that tag, return to Joy, then interact with the piano on the stage. The performance sends you back to Headquarters.
Establish the Remote Headquarters
Speak with Joy and Sadness in Headquarters, then return to the valley and place the Remote Headquarters. Scrooge McDuck charges 10,000 Star Coins to establish the building, according to walkthroughs published August 20, 2025. After it is placed, speak with Joy to receive the materials task.

Gather the six materials for the light stick
Bring Joy one of each of these items:
- Topaz
- Apple
- Seaweed
- Blue Falling Penstemon
- Carrot
- Onyx
Have all six in your inventory when you speak with Joy; items stored in a chest do not count for submission. Joy will make the Go Go Glow light stick.
Deliver Go Go Glow to Sadness
Take the Go Go Glow light stick to Sadness in the Inside Out realm and hand it over. Accepting the handoff completes Dream On! and brings Joy to the valley.

If the quest will not advance
- Check that all three required furniture pieces—the potted tree, fireplace, and globe—are on the main stage.
- Confirm that three equipped clothing items carry the Elegant tag, rather than relying on appearance alone.
- Before talking to Joy about the materials, move all six requested items from storage into your inventory.
The documented steps come from walkthroughs published August 20, 2025; the consulted sources are secondary guides rather than official developer documentation, and they do not establish whether later updates changed quest requirements. If a step differs in a newer game version, follow the in-game objective.
