Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super brought Superman to the Island on July 11, 2025, as both a Battle Pass reward and a temporary in-match power-up. The season also added the Fortress of Solitude, new weapons and a speed boon, alongside a wider superhero-themed lineup of characters and systems.
How Superman changed a match
Epic Games announced Superman’s arrival on July 11, 2025. Starting at 9 AM ET that day, Superman’s Call crystals had a chance to spawn in every Battle Royale and Zero Build match. The first player to find one transformed temporarily, gaining flight, heat vision that could melt structures, and superhuman strength. If opponents defeated that player, the transformation ended. Epic’s July 10, 2025 announcement described the power-up and its timing.
What arrived after launch
The season’s Superman content rolled out in stages. The Fortress of Solitude became available on July 15, 2025, where Superman offered services in exchange for Bars. Epic also announced more Academy Tech Labs and several gameplay additions:
- Exotic Unstable Bounce Grenade: bounced and exploded repeatedly.
- Exotic Unstable Thunderclap DMR: fired an explosive round every three shots.
- Surging Speed Boon: improved sprint speed and energy use, with its effect scaling according to Hero Rank.
How players unlocked the Superman Outfit
Players who owned the Super Battle Pass could unlock the Superman Outfit by earning 12 Account Levels. XP from any experience counted toward the requirement. Additional Account Level goals unlocked the Jim Lee-designed Pen & Ink Style and accessories: the Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, and Super Save Emote. Epic said players could complete those goals until the end of Chapter 6 Season 3: Super. This was the season’s original progression path; Epic’s announcement does not establish whether these past-season rewards can still be obtained now.

Superman was part of a bigger superhero season
Chapter 6 Season 3: Super was not just a Superman promotion. GameSpot’s June 8, 2025 season overview described a superhero-themed Battle Pass featuring Superman and Robin, plus six original characters: Haylee Skye, Ziggy, Synthwave, Killswitch, Lightrider, and Morgan Myst. The overview also covered new locations, boss encounters, Hero Ranks, boons, and sprites.
Those features gave the season several distinct layers: Superman was both an unlockable cosmetic and a temporary combat advantage; Account Levels drove Battle Pass rewards; the map gained new locations and services; and Hero Ranks connected to progression and mechanics such as the Surging Speed Boon. GameSpot reported at the time that the season was scheduled to conclude on August 8, 2025.

What to know if you are looking for the content now
These details describe a completed 2025 season, not the current Fortnite season. The Superman power-up and the original Battle Pass progression were tied to Chapter 6 Season 3: Super. Epic’s announcement explains how the Outfit was earned during that season but does not say whether it is available through another route today, so current availability may depend on Epic’s later offerings and the player’s account or region.
