That preorder window has passed. Sony’s official pages describe the original offer and contents but do not establish whether any retailer has stock now.
Could you preorder the Collector’s Edition, and where was it sold?
Preorders began May 2, 2025. In the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, Sony announced limited quantities through direct.playstation.com, with sign-in required. Sony said select retailers would carry it in other regions. These were the announced 2025 sales terms, not a statement about present availability. The game launched worldwide for PS5 on October 2, 2025.
At announcement, Andrew Goldfarb, Senior Communications Manager at Sucker Punch Productions, wrote: “Today we can also reveal that pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei begin next week, on May 2 at 10:00 AM in your local timezone (10:00 AM ET for those in the US), and you’ll be able to choose between multiple different editions, including our amazing Collector’s Edition.”
The official pages reviewed do not confirm current inventory. If you are looking for one now, check the retailer directly and verify the seller, region and edition before buying; the historical limited-quantity announcement does not prove that a listing is available or genuine.

Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone PS5 action-adventure set in rural Japan in the 1600s, about 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. Its protagonist, Atsu, is a mercenary pursuing the people who killed her family. Sony’s US listing categorizes it as Action / Adventure / Role-Playing Games and lists one-player play. Its standalone story means players do not need to treat it as a direct continuation of Jin Sakai’s story.
