Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsGTA 6 Trailer 2 was released on May 6, 2025, so any theory predicting a date for that trailer is now historical. The assigned headline does not identify the original fan theory or its clue, and the available reporting does not establish a single, verified prediction. What is confirmed is the trailer’s release date—not a fan theory or a date for another trailer.
What the “Trailer 2 release date theory” can—and cannot—tell us
The headline alone is not enough to identify the theory: it names no post, clue, or predicted date. Without the original source, attributing a particular prediction to fans would risk inventing what the theory claimed. Treat the phrase as an unspecified historical fan theory unless its original post or reporting can be identified.

That distinction matters because fan interpretation, news coverage, and an official announcement are different kinds of evidence. For example, TechRadar reported on August 4, 2026, on fan speculation that an ambiguous painting in GTA Online might be a map clue. That report does not establish the painting as a Rockstar-confirmed clue or as a signal of trailer timing: TechRadar’s report on the painting speculation.
Trailer 2’s release date is confirmed
Take-Two announced on May 6, 2025, that Rockstar had released Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 that day. The announcement also stated, “All trailer footage was captured on PlayStation 5.” Those are official details; they do not validate any fan theory about how or when the trailer would arrive: Take-Two’s Trailer 2 announcement.
#1 Best Overall
- Includes the complete grand Theft Auto V story experience
The same announcement listed May 26, 2026, as the then-planned game launch date. Take-Two later changed that schedule, so that older date should not be mistaken for the current launch date.
Another GTA VI video is not Trailer 2
Rockstar published a separate video titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, 2026. It is a later, distinct video—not a new release date or confirmation related to Trailer 2: Rockstar’s Extended Look news item.
Rank #2
- The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created and now packed with layers of new detail.
- Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game's three lead characters, playing all sides of the game's interwoven story.
- Grand Theft Auto V also comes with Grand Theft Auto Online, the dynamic and ever-evolving Grand Theft Auto universe for multiple players.
What is confirmed about GTA VI’s game release
Take-Two’s June 24, 2026, pre-order announcement gives a game release date, not a trailer schedule: Grand Theft Auto VI is listed for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement lists the standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99; these are announcement prices and may change. It also says the physical version contains a download code inside the box, and that the game is not yet rated in that announcement: Take-Two’s pre-order announcement.
Keep the dates separate: May 6, 2025, is Trailer 2’s confirmed release date; November 19, 2026, is the announced game launch date. The latter does not establish when another trailer will appear.
Rank #3
- Experience the world of Grand Theft Auto V like never before with the power of the Xbox One.
- Explore the City of Los Santos, the countryside and even the ocean.
- Play through an epic single player experience using three very different characters.
- Join your friends in GTA Online and see what trouble you can cause.
- Play golf, tennis, see a film or call someone and just hang out.
Has Rockstar announced another trailer date?
LuciaStream’s October 2, 2026, tracker article said its check found no announced date for the next trailer. That is a dated third-party snapshot, not an official Rockstar statement or a guarantee about what may be announced afterward: LuciaStream’s October 2, 2026, update. For a current answer, check Rockstar’s official channels; a fan clue or prediction should not be presented as confirmation unless Rockstar confirms it.
