What is Heroes of Valor?
Heroes of Valor is a team-based, online World War II shooter developed by Fancy Cat Interactive and published by Iceberg Interactive. Steam describes class selection, character customization, vehicles, PvP and co-op as part of the game. Its presentation is colorful and arcade-oriented rather than a claim to recreate a historically realistic battlefield. Steam’s listing gives June 12, 2025 as its Early Access release date.
The publisher explicitly calls it a Battlefield Heroes-inspired third-person shooter. An April 2025 FAQ repost attributed to the game’s official Discord also names Battlefield 1942 and Brothers in Arms as inspirations. Those references describe creative influences; they do not indicate that the game is affiliated with Electronic Arts or that its gameplay is identical to those titles. Iceberg Interactive’s announcement and the April 2025 FAQ repost provide that context.
Is the free playtest still available?
Current availability is not established by the historical playtest announcements. On April 10, 2025, Iceberg Interactive invited players to a free playtest; an April 2025 FAQ repost said players could request access through the Steam store page. Those sources document an invitation at that time, not an open enrollment offer now.

Steam currently identifies the game as an Early Access release dated June 12, 2025. To see what access is offered today, open the Heroes of Valor Steam page and check the current purchase or playtest options. Do not rely on an old announcement or FAQ to determine whether a playtest button is available.
What gameplay and features have been described?
Team combat, classes and customization
The Steam listing presents team battles with selectable classes and character customization, alongside online PvP and co-op. The April 2025 FAQ describes infantry and vehicle combat and stylized character skills. Its details reflect the playtest-era design and should not be treated as a definitive current feature or class roster.
Vehicles and historical class details
The 2025 FAQ names planes, tanks, anti-aircraft guns and bikes among the vehicles, and lists commando, soldier, gunner and engineer classes. It also said the engineer was still coming soon in that snapshot. These are dated descriptions from a community repost attributed to the official Discord, not confirmation that every vehicle or class is currently available in Early Access. The clearest supported comparison is that Heroes of Valor takes inspiration from Battlefield Heroes and shares broad traits named in its descriptions: team-based class combat, vehicles and a stylized arcade approach. It relocates the action to World War II and is an online game with PvP and co-op described on Steam. The available information does not establish a direct gameplay equivalence, a feature-by-feature remake, or whether it will satisfy players looking for the exact feel of the older game.
