Whether you can unsuspend a Ubisoft account yourself depends on the restriction. Ubisoft says it will not lift a temporary lock on request; it will email you when that sanction ends. If your account is permanently locked and you believe Ubisoft made a mistake, you can appeal through Ubisoft Help. Include the sanctioned account’s username and a clear explanation of why the decision should be reviewed.
First, identify what kind of lock you have
Read the notice from Ubisoft and check whether it describes a temporary or permanent lock. Ubisoft says a locked account may lose access to its online games and services and may not be able to sign in to Ubisoft websites. The restriction can vary with the activity and its severity.
Examples in Ubisoft’s guidance are possibilities, not a diagnosis of your specific account. Use the notice you received to determine the stated restriction and next step.
If your Ubisoft account is temporarily locked
Ubisoft says it cannot remove a temporary lock on request and will email you when the sanction has been lifted. Opening repeated support tickets will not force an earlier unlock.

Ubisoft identifies detected fraudulent activity as one possible reason for a temporary lock. If you have not recently tried to make a purchase, too many failed login attempts may also explain the lock. See Ubisoft’s guidance on temporary account locks.
If your Ubisoft account is permanently locked
If you think the permanent lock was applied in error, submit an appeal through Ubisoft Help. Ubisoft’s Terms of Use say sanctions can be appealed and submitted for human review through customer support.

- Open the permanent-lock guidance on Ubisoft Help and use its support route to submit an appeal.
- Provide the username of the Ubisoft account that was sanctioned.
- Explain concisely why you believe the sanction is mistaken. Stick to the facts and include information Ubisoft requests.
- Wait for Ubisoft’s response rather than sending repeated messages.
Ubisoft warns that an appeal missing requested information may be denied, that repeated or abusive contacts will not help, and that it may ignore appeals after a final review. Its Help article states: “Repeated or abusive contacts will not help your appeal.” Ubisoft does not promise that an appeal will succeed or give a review-time estimate.
Why Ubisoft may lock or suspend an account
Ubisoft says it may act against accounts that violate its Terms of Use or are connected to illegal activity. Its examples include phishing, selling or sharing accounts, and fraud. It also describes protective suspension when it has reasonable doubts about unauthorized access or suspicious activity. Repeated fraudulent purchase attempts may result in a permanent sanction.

The Terms describe a range of possible sanctions, from warnings and changes to account details or progress to feature restrictions, suspensions, device or IP restrictions, and account suspension or closure. Ubisoft says it considers factors such as the seriousness and number of violations and their impact; these examples do not establish why any individual account was locked. The linked Terms are the Canada-locale version, and Ubisoft says applicable law varies by region.

Secure the account after access returns
Once Ubisoft lifts the lock, change your password and turn on 2-Step verification. Ubisoft also advises users not to share their credentials. Its temporary-lock guidance recommends these account-security steps after a lock is lifted.
